FUJITSU Desktop ESPRIMO Q558/B, Q558/BW BIOS Setup Menu Guide
This document provides a detailed overview of the BIOS setup menus for the FUJITSU Desktop ESPRIMO Q558/B and Q558/BW models.
Main Menu Overview
The BIOS Setup utility allows users to configure various system settings. The main menu categories are:
- Main: Displays information about the BIOS and the computer, and allows setting the date and time, and language.
- Security: Configures security features such as passwords.
- Power Management: Sets power-related options, including recovery from power outages and Wakeup on LAN.
- Event Log: Manages event log settings.
- Boot: Configures boot-up behavior.
- Exit: Saves or loads settings, and exits the BIOS setup.
Note: BIOS setup specifications are subject to change without prior notice for improvement.
Point: Accessing BIOS Setup with a user password restricts the ability to change certain settings, which will be displayed in gray.

Main Menu

Security Menu
Setting | Description |
---|---|
User Password Setup | Sets the number of characters for the user password (3-32 characters). |
Administrator Password Setup | Configures administrator password settings. |
Auto Wakeup Password Skip | Skips password entry during auto wake-up. Options: Never, First time only, Every time. |
System Firmware Update Function | Enables or restricts system firmware updates. |
System Firmware Rollback | Allows rollback of system firmware. |
BIOS Password Settings | Details on setting BIOS passwords for different access levels (Administrator, User). |
Hard Disk Security Settings | Enables or disables hard disk password protection. Options: Supported, Enabled, Locked, Frozen. |
Secure Boot Settings | Configures Secure Boot options, including enabling/disabling the feature, managing vendor keys, and signature information. |
Power Management Menu
Setting | Description |

AC Power Recovery Action | Determines the system's behavior upon AC power restoration. Options: Do not use, Power OFF, Power ON, Auto. |
Wakeup on LAN | Enables or disables Wakeup on LAN functionality. |
PC Display Power Linkage Function | Controls the PC display's power linkage with system power. Options: Do not use, Power ON only. |
LAN Boot | Enables or disables booting from the network via LAN. |
Keyboard | Enables or disables keyboard input. Options: Do not use, Use, Use only for dedicated keys. |
Time Settings | Configures specific times for system operations. Includes settings for Mode (Weekly, Daily, Monthly), Day of the week, Hour, and Minute. |
Event Log Menu
Setting | Description |

Event Log Settings | Enables or disables the event log. Options: Do not use, Use. |
Event Log Clear Settings | Configures when the event log is cleared. Options: No, Clear on next boot, Clear on every boot. |
Event Log Full | Determines action when the event log is full. Options: Do nothing, Clear immediately. |

Boot Menu
Setting | Description |

Boot Settings | Configures boot-related options. |
NumLock at Boot | Sets the NumLock state at boot. Options: On, Off. |
Display Logo at Boot | Enables or disables the display of the FUJITSU logo during boot. Options: Do not use, Use. |
Boot Error Handling | Determines system behavior upon boot errors. Options: Continue boot, Wait for key press. |
Keyboard Error Detection | Enables or disables keyboard error detection. Options: Do not use, Use. |
UEFI Boot Device Add Priority | Sets the priority for adding UEFI boot devices. Options: Standard, Top, Bottom. |
Removable Media Boot | Enables or disables booting from removable media. Options: Do not use, Use. |
Boot Device Priority | Sets the boot device order. Includes options for Windows Boot Manager, UEFI PXE boot (IPv4/IPv6), and other potential UEFI devices. |
Exit Menu
The Exit menu allows users to save or discard changes and exit the BIOS setup utility.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Save Changes and Exit (Reboot) | Saves current settings and restarts the system. |
Discard Changes and Exit (Reboot) | Discards all changes and restarts the system. |
Save Changes and Exit (Power Off) | Saves current settings and powers off the system. |
Load Default Settings | Restores the BIOS to its factory default settings. Excludes settings like Language, System Date/Time, Keyboard Layout, and password settings. Refer to the product guide for details. |
