Getting Started
Buttons and screen controls
The wearable device has a side button and a touch-sensitive screen.
Side button operations:
- Press once: Wakes the screen when off. Navigates to the app list from the home screen. Returns to the home screen from other screens.
- Press and hold: Powers on, powers off, or restarts the device.
Screen controls:
- Touch: Selects and confirms.
- Touch and hold: Changes the watch face on the home screen.
- Swipe down: Opens the shortcut menu on the home screen.
- Swipe up: Shows notifications on the home screen.
- Swipe left: Accesses watch feature cards on the home screen.
- Swipe right: Enters the HUAWEI Assistant TODAY screen on the home screen, or returns to the previous screen from any app's screen.
Turning on the screen
- Press to wake: Press the side button once.
- Raise to wake: Raise your wrist. Enable this in the Huawei Health app under Device settings.
- Tap to wake: Tap the screen. Enable this in Settings > Display & brightness.
Screen brightness adjustment: Go to Settings > Display & brightness > Brightness.
Turning off the screen
- Lower or rotate your wrist outwards, or cover the screen with your palm.
- The watch automatically sleeps after a period of inactivity.
Pairing with an EMUI/Android phone
- Install or update the Huawei Health app.
- Open the Huawei Health app, go to Me > Log in with HUAWEI ID.
- Power on your wearable device, select a language, and start pairing.
- Place the device near your phone. In the Huawei Health app, tap the '+' icon, then 'Add device'. Select your device and tap 'LINK'. Alternatively, use 'Scan' to pair via QR code.
- Allow Bluetooth pairing when prompted by the Huawei Health app.
- Confirm the pairing request on your wearable device and follow phone instructions.
- For non-HUAWEI phones, ensure the Huawei Health app is not cleared from the background via 'Band connection protection' settings.
Pairing with an iPhone
- Install or update the HUAWEI Health app.
- Open the HUAWEI Health app, go to Me > Log in with HUAWEI ID.
- Power on your wearable device, select a language, and start pairing.
- Place the device near your phone. In the HUAWEI Health app, tap the '+' icon, then 'Add device'. Select your device and tap 'LINK'. You can also use 'Scan' to pair via QR code.
- Confirm the pairing request on your wearable device (tap √). Allow Bluetooth pairing and notifications when prompted.
- Wait for the pairing success message.
Setting Style watch faces
Create a watch face using a photo. Note: This feature is unavailable when paired with an iPhone.
- In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Watch faces > More > Mine > Style.
- Tap '+' and select 'Take photo' or 'Gallery'.
- Select generated watch faces and tap 'Save'.
Managing watch faces
Changing watch faces:
- Method 1: Touch and hold the home screen, swipe left or right to select, and set.
- Method 2: On the device, go to Settings > Watch face > Watch face, and swipe to select.
- Method 3: In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Watch faces, select a watch face, and tap 'Set as default'.
Deleting a watch face: In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Watch faces > More > Me > Edit, and tap the cross icon on the watch face.
Setting Gallery watch faces
Create custom watch faces using your photos.
- In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Watch faces > More > Mine, swipe up to 'On watch', and tap 'Gallery'.
- Tap '+' and select 'Take photo' or 'Gallery'.
- Tap √ and then 'Save'. You can also customize 'Style' and 'Layout'.
Deleting an image in Gallery watch faces: In the Huawei Health app, go to the Gallery watch face settings screen and tap the cross icon on the image.
Setting custom cards
Customize the feature cards accessible by swiping on the home screen.
Adding custom cards:
- Press the side button, go to Settings > Custom cards.
- Tap '+' and select cards like Sleep, Stress, and Heart rate.
- Swipe on the home screen to view added cards.
Moving/Deleting cards: Touch the arrow icon to the right of a card to move it. Touch 'x' to the left of a card to delete it.
Assistant
Managing messages
Sync phone notifications to your wearable device.
Enabling message notifications:
- In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Notifications, and toggle on 'Notifications'.
- Enable notifications for desired apps in the app list.
Viewing unread messages: Swipe up on the home screen to enter the message center.
Replying to SMS messages: This feature is not supported on iPhones. Supported for SMS messages received via SIM card. Swipe up on the screen and select a quick reply.
Customizing quick replies: This feature is not supported on iPhones. In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Quick replies card. Tap 'Add reply', edit, or delete existing replies.
Deleting unread messages: Swipe up to the message center and tap the clear icon.
Setting alarms
Set alarms using the wearable device or the Huawei Health app.
Setting an alarm using your wearable device:
- Enter the app list, tap 'Alarm' (?️), then tap '+' to add.
- Set time, and choose repeat options. Tap 'OK'.
- Touch an existing alarm to modify or delete it. Alarm names can only be set/modified in the Huawei Health app.
Setting an alarm using the Huawei Health app:
- Open Huawei Health app, go to Device details > Alarm.
- Tap 'Add' to set time, name, and repeat cycle.
- Tap √ (Android/EMUI) or 'Save' (iOS).
- Sync settings by swiping down on the Huawei Health home screen.
- Touch an existing alarm to modify.
Do Not Disturb mode
When enabled, the device will not vibrate for incoming calls and notifications (alarms still vibrate).
Enabling/Disabling Do Not Disturb:
- Method 1: Swipe down from the top of the watch face and tap the Do Not Disturb icon (?).
- Method 2: Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > All day.
Scheduling Do Not Disturb: Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb, enable 'Scheduled', and set start/end times. Disable the schedule in the same menu.
Remote shutter
Requires HUAWEI phone (EMUI 8.1+) or iPhone (iOS 13.0+). Ensure Huawei Health app is running.
- Ensure the device is connected via Bluetooth and the Huawei Health app is running.
- On the device, open the app list, find and tap 'Remote shutter' (?). This launches the phone camera.
- Tap the camera icon on the device to take photos. Swipe right or press the side button to exit.
Controlling music playback
- In the Huawei Health app, go to Device settings and enable 'Music playback control'.
- On the device, open the app list, find and tap 'Music' to pause, resume, skip tracks, and adjust volume.
Flashlight
The flashlight has three modes: Common, Flash, and Color.
Common mode: Press the side button or swipe down to open the shortcut menu, then tap the flashlight icon (?). Tap the screen to turn on/off. Swipe right or press the side button to exit.
Flash mode and Color mode: Swipe up on the Flashlight screen to access settings for color and flashing frequency.
The flashlight stays on for five minutes by default.
Weather
Enabling weather reports: In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details, enable 'Weather reports', and select temperature unit (°C or °F).
Viewing weather information:
- Through the Weather app: Press the side button, find and select 'Weather'. Swipe up or down to view details.
- Through a watch face: Use a watch face that displays weather information.
Ensure phone GPS is enabled and Huawei Health has location permission. Weather data may vary slightly between phone and device.
Health Management
Monitoring your sleep
The device records sleep duration and identifies sleep stages (deep, light, awake).
Sleep settings:
- Open the app list, select 'Sleep' (?), swipe up, and tap 'Sleep mode'.
- Enable 'Auto', or set 'Bedtime', 'Wake up', and 'Repeat'. Tap 'OK'. The device will disable Raise to wake and other features to avoid disturbing sleep.
Enabling/Disabling HUAWEI TruSleep™: The switch is on by default. Enable/disable in Huawei Health app > Health monitoring > HUAWEI TruSleep™™. TruSleep™™ provides detailed sleep analysis and tips.
Viewing your sleep data: On the device, select 'Sleep' (?). On the phone, go to Huawei Health > Health > Sleep card.
Sleep data is cleared daily at 00:00 AM.
Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis
Uses the PPG sensor to screen for abnormal heartbeat rhythms. Available in select markets. Update device and app first.
Activating the app: Download or update the Huawei Health app.
Taking measurements on your wearable device:
- Wear the device correctly, keep arms flat and relaxed.
- Open the app list, select 'Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis', and tap 'Measure'.
- Remain still during measurement. View results on the device screen or in the Huawei Health app (Health > Heart > Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis).
Enabling automatic measurements and reminders: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Heart > Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, tap the options icon, and enable 'Automatic measurement' and 'Arrhythmia alerts'.
Disabling the service: Go to Huawei Health > Health > Heart > Pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, tap the options icon, go to 'About' > 'Disable service'.
Possible results: Results are for reference only. Consult a medical professional. Results may include: No abnormalities, Risk of premature beats, Risk of A-fib, Suspected premature beats, or Suspected A-fib.
Measuring heart rate
Heart rate measurements can be affected by external factors. For accuracy, wear the device snugly one finger width above the wrist bone, screen facing up, with the sensor in contact with skin.
Individual heart rate measurement:
- Disable 'Continuous heart rate monitoring' in Huawei Health app if needed.
- On the device, open the app list and select 'Heart rate' (❤️) to measure.
Continuous heart rate monitoring: Enable in Huawei Health app > Health monitoring > Continuous heart rate monitoring. View data on the device or in Huawei Health app (Me > My data > Heart).
Resting heart rate measurement: Enable 'Continuous heart rate monitoring'. The device measures resting heart rate automatically. View data in Huawei Health app (Me > My data > Heart > Resting heart rate). Data is cleared at 00:00 AM on the device.
High/Low heart rate alert: Enable 'Continuous heart rate monitoring'. Set alert limits in Huawei Health app > Health monitoring > Continuous heart rate monitoring > High heart rate alert / Low heart rate alert.
Heart rate measurement for a workout
The device displays real-time heart rate and zones during workouts. Set heart rate zones in Huawei Health app > Me > Settings > Workout settings > Exercise heart rate settings.
High heart rate alert during workouts: Alerts are triggered if heart rate exceeds the preset limit during a workout. Set limits in Huawei Health app (iOS: Heart rate warning; Android: High heart rate).
Measuring SpO2
Update device and app to the latest versions. Wear the device snugly above the wrist bone for accuracy.
Individual SpO2 measurement:
- Wear the device correctly and keep your arm still.
- Open the app list, find and tap 'SpO2' (?), and start measurement.
- Remain still with the screen facing upward. Wait 3-5 minutes for optimal accuracy.
SpO2 measurements are for reference only and not for medical use. Calls, alarms, or swiping right can interrupt measurement.
Automatic SpO2 measurements: In Huawei Health app, go to Health monitoring > Automatic SpO2. Set 'Low SpO2 alert' for notifications.
Viewing your SpO2 data: In Huawei Health app, select the SpO2 card.
Sleep breathing awareness
Detects breathing interruptions during sleep. Connect watch to Huawei Health app first.
- In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Sleep > Sleep breathing awareness.
- Grant permissions, tap 'Allow' and 'Agree', then tap 'Go enable' and toggle on 'Sleep breathing awareness'.
- Wear the watch to bed for detection and analysis.
Viewing data: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Sleep > Sleep breathing awareness. Tap the options icon, then 'All data' to view specific dates.
Enabling/Disabling Sleep breathing awareness: Go to Huawei Health > Health > Sleep > Sleep breathing awareness, toggle the switch.
Disabling the service: Go to Huawei Health > Health > Sleep > Sleep breathing awareness, tap options icon, go to 'About' > 'Disable service'.
Cycle Calendar
Activate by linking your band with the Huawei Health app.
Activating the app: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Cycle Calendar, agree to privacy, set period data, and tap 'Get started'. Notifications will appear on the band.
Recording and viewing your periods on your band: Open the app list, select 'Cycle Calendar' (?). Tap 'Edit' to record 'Started' and 'Ended' dates. Swipe to view Summary and previous/next cycles.
Recording your periods on the Huawei Health app: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Cycle Calendar. Toggle 'Period started' or 'Period ended' for specific dates. Set period length and cycle length in Settings.
Testing stress levels
Wear the device correctly and keep your body still during tests.
Single stress test: In Huawei Health app, tap 'Stress' card, then 'Stress test'. Tap 'Calibrate' and follow instructions.
Periodic stress test: In Huawei Health app, go to Health monitoring > Automatic stress test, toggle on 'Automatic stress test'. Tests start automatically when wearing the device.
Accuracy may be affected by substances (caffeine, nicotine, alcohol), heart disease, asthma, exercise, or incorrect wear.
Viewing stress data: On the device, open app list, tap 'Stress' (?). In Huawei Health app, tap the 'Stress' card to view daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly stress curves.
The device is not a medical device; data is for reference only.
Exercise
Activity records
Update your band to the latest version. Activity rings track Move, Exercise, and Stand.
Setting goals: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Activity rings > Edit goals.
Viewing data: On the band, navigate to Activity records. Swipe left for 'This week', right for 'Today'. Swipe up to find 'Today' and 'Edit goals'.
- Move (?): Measures calories burned.
- Exercise (?): Measures duration of moderate- and high-intensity workouts. WHO recommends 150 min moderate or 75 min high-intensity exercise per week.
- Stand (?): Measures hours stood and moved for at least one minute. Prolonged sitting is linked to health risks. Stand up at least once per hour.
Starting an individual workout
Starting a workout on your wearable device:
- Enter the app list, tap 'Workout' (?).
- Swipe to select a workout mode, or swipe to 'Custom' to add.
- Tap the workout mode icon to start.
- During a workout, press and hold the side button to end. Alternatively, press to pause (⏸️), tap to resume (▶️), or tap to end (⏹️).
Starting a workout on the Huawei Health app:
- Ensure the device is linked with the Huawei Health app and worn snugly.
- Open the app, go to Exercise > Outdoor run (example), and tap 'Run'.
- In the Huawei Health app, tap to pause (⏸️), touch and hold to resume (▶️), or touch to end (⏹️).
Workout data (duration, distance) is displayed on both the app and device. Short workouts may not be saved. Data after workout ends is collected from both phone and wearable device.
Workout records
Workout records are not permanently stored on the wearable device; older records are cleared when new ones are generated. Synced records remain in the Huawei Health app.
Viewing workout records on your wearable device: Enter the app list, tap 'Workout records' (?). Select a record for details.
Viewing workout records on the Huawei Health app: Go to Huawei Health > Health > Exercise records, select a record for details.
Deleting a workout record: In Huawei Health app, go to Health > Exercise records, touch and hold a record to delete. The record remains on the wearable device.
Checking out your running ability index
Running ability index (RAI) reflects a runner's endurance, technique, and efficiency.
Before you start: Update wearable device and Huawei Health app. RAI is available for runs longer than 12 minutes in certain scenarios.
Checking out your RAI:
- On your wearable device: Open the app list, tap 'Workout status' (?).
- On your phone: Go to Huawei Health > Me > My data > Running Ability Index.
Viewing your training status
On your wearable device, enter the app list, tap 'Workout status' (?), and swipe to view workout data including RAI, degree of recovery, training load, and VO2Max.
- RAI: Endurance, technique, efficiency.
- Degree of recovery: Time to return to 100% after fatigue.
- Training load: Based on total workout amount over the last seven days and fitness status.
- VO2Max: Maximum oxygen uptake during intense exercise, indicating aerobic ability.

Charging
Charging your device: Connect the metal contacts on the charging cradle to the back of the band. Place on a flat surface and connect the cradle to a power supply. The screen will light up and display the battery level.
- Use only HUAWEI charging cradles/adapters or those complying with safety standards.
- The charging cradle is not water-resistant. Keep contacts dry.
- Keep the cradle clean. Ensure correct placement of the device. Avoid metal objects near contacts.
- Charging stops automatically when fully charged (100% icon).
- If not using the device for a long time, charge it every 2-3 months.
- Batteries have limited charge cycles. Contact Huawei Customer Service for replacement.
- Do not charge in hazardous environments. Ensure USB port is clean and dry. Keep cradle and device away from liquids and flammable materials.
- The cradle contains a magnet. If repulsion occurs, switch the device's direction.
- Avoid high temperatures and electromagnetic interference.
Checking the battery level:
- Method 1: Swipe down from the home screen to open the shortcut menu.
- Method 2: Connect to a power supply and check the charging screen.
- Method 3: View on the device home screen if the watch face displays it.
- Method 4: In the Huawei Health app, go to Device details screen.
Low battery alert: When the battery is below 10%, the device vibrates and prompts charging.
Setting the AOD watch face
Choose whether to see the main or AOD watch face when raising your wrist.
- Open the app list, go to Settings > Watch face, and enable 'Always On Display'.
- Select 'Raise to show AOD' or 'Raise to show watch face'.
Setting a PIN
Set a PIN to protect privacy and enable Auto-lock (locks device when removed).
Enabling PIN: Go to Settings > PIN > Set PIN to set a 6-digit PIN. Go to Settings > PIN > Auto-lock to enable it.
If you forget the PIN, restore to factory settings.
Changing PIN: Go to Settings > PIN > Change PIN.
Disabling PIN: Go to Settings > PIN > Disable PIN.
Forgetting your PIN: Restore your device to factory settings.
Setting time and language
Time and language settings sync automatically from your phone via Bluetooth.
Water-resistant and dust-resistant level definition and usage scenario description of wearable devices
Water-resistant and dust-resistant means the device prevents water and dust entry.
Test scenarios: 15°C to 35°C, 25% to 75% relative humidity, 86 to 106 kPa atmospheric pressure.

Dust and water resistance is not permanent. Avoid conditions that affect performance. Damage from liquid immersion is not covered by warranty.
Avoid pressing buttons or operating underwater. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or harsh detergents. Do not drop or subject to impact. Do not disassemble or repair at unauthorized stores. Avoid alkaline substances, perfumes, solvents, acids, etc. Do not charge when wet.
Water-resistant and dust-resistant features apply only to the watch body. Straps and charging base are not water-resistant or dust-resistant.
