System Examples

The Thump Series loudspeakers are versatile and can be integrated into various audio systems.

Basic PA System

A simple setup for small events or presentations.

  • Connect a microphone or audio source to a mixer (e.g., Mackie ProFX8v2).
  • Connect the mixer's main outputs (L/R) to the LINE inputs of the Thump12A or Thump15A.

Diagram shows: Microphone -> Mixer -> Thump12A (LINE IN).

Small Club System

A setup suitable for small venues, including a subwoofer.

  • Connect a mixer (e.g., Mackie ProFX8v2) to the inputs of two Thump12A loudspeakers (one for L, one for R).
  • Connect the MIX OUT XLR from each Thump12A to the input of a Thump18S subwoofer.
  • Alternatively, connect the mixer's L/R outputs to the Thump12A inputs and use the MIX OUT of the Thump12A to feed the Thump18S.

Diagram shows: Mixer L/R Outs -> Thump12A (LINE IN). Thump12A MIX OUT -> Thump18S Input.

DJ System

A setup for DJs using a DJ mixer or controller.

  • Connect the main outputs of a DJ mixer (e.g., Mackie Big Knob Studio+) to the inputs of two Thump15A loudspeakers.
  • For extended low-frequency response, connect the MIX OUT of the Thump15A to the input of a Thump18S subwoofer.

Diagram shows: DJ Mixer L/R Outs -> Thump15A (LINE IN). Thump15A MIX OUT -> Thump18S Input.

Daisy-Chaining Multiple Thump Loudspeakers

Connect multiple Thump loudspeakers in series for wider coverage or distributed sound.

  • Connect the main output of your mixer to the input of the first Thump loudspeaker.
  • Connect the MIX OUT XLR of the first Thump loudspeaker to the input of the second Thump loudspeaker.
  • Continue this chain for additional loudspeakers.

Diagram shows: Mixer Main Outs -> Thump MIX OUT (XLR) -> Next Thump Input.

Large Club System

A more complex setup for larger venues, including monitors.

  • Connect a digital mixer (e.g., Mackie DL1608) L/R outputs to the inputs of two Thump15A loudspeakers.
  • Use the MIX OUT of the Thump15A loudspeakers to feed a Thump18S subwoofer.
  • Use auxiliary outputs from the mixer (AUX 1/AUX 2) to feed two Thump12A loudspeakers configured as stage monitors.

Diagram shows: Mixer L/R Outs -> Thump15A (LINE IN). Thump15A MIX OUT -> Thump18S Input. Mixer Aux Outs -> Thump12A (LINE IN) as Monitors.
