How To Measure Outside Mount 1-in Cordless Mini Blinds
This guide explains how to measure for outside-mounted Mini Blinds, ensuring sufficient space for hardware installation.
Step 1: Measure For the Width
- Measure the overall window, including trim on both sides, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.
- Add 1-1/2 inches on each side for better coverage.
Step 2: Measure the Height
- Measure the height inside to the nearest 1/8 of an inch between the highest and lowest points.
- Include window trim: add 3 inches on top and 1 inch on the bottom for better coverage.
Step 3: Place Order
- Round your width measurement UP to the closest available size.
- If your exact window height is not available, round UP to the next larger height.
Measurement Diagram
The diagram illustrates the measurements needed for outside mounting. It shows:
- A window frame with dashed lines indicating the outside mount area.
- A horizontal measurement line labeled '1 1/2"' on both the left and right sides, indicating the additional width needed for coverage.
- A vertical measurement indicating '3"' from the top of the frame and '1"' from the bottom of the frame, also for coverage.
- The overall height and width of the window are indicated by blue lines within the frame.
