Strom (Power)

Since the device is operated with electrical current, there is a risk of electric shock. Strictly observe the following precautions:

  • Connect the device only directly to a properly installed protective contact socket (fuse at least 10 A). Do not use extension cords or multi-way adapters.
  • Operate the device only if the voltage indicated on the type plate matches your socket's voltage.
  • Ensure that the power cord is not kinked or pinched and that the power cord and the device do not come into contact with heat sources (e.g., hot plates, gas flames).
  • Do not pull the power cord over sharp edges.
  • When unplugging the device, always pull directly on the plug. Do not carry the device by the power cord.

  • Even when the device is switched off, there is voltage inside as long as the power plug is in the socket.
  • Unplug the device before removing or inserting the water tank.
  • Unplug the device after each use.
  • In case of danger or defect, immediately unplug the device. For this reason, ensure the socket where the device's power plug is inserted is always easily accessible.
  • Unplug the device before cleaning, maintenance, disassembly, or reassembly.
  • Never unscrew the device or make technical modifications.
  • The device is only disconnected from the mains when the power plug is pulled out.

Verbrühungsgefahr (Scalding Hazard)

The device heats water, which can cause scalding hazards.

  • Do not hold any body parts under the spout while the device is operating.

  • Empty and clean the drip tray, the inner drip container, and the coffee grounds container daily.
  • Clean the device regularly (see "Gerät reinigen" on page 13).
  • Empty the device if you do not use it for a longer period.
  • Change the water daily to prevent germ formation.

Using incorrect cleaning agents poses health risks:

  • Use exclusively the cleaning agents and utensils described in this operating manual for cleaning your device.
