PDH Programmable Frequency Transducer

A Sonepar Company

Product Overview

The Masibus PDH frequency transducer is designed to measure the line frequency of both sine wave and distorted waveforms. It converts this frequency input into a load-independent DC current or voltage output signal, with the output being proportional to the measured frequency.

This device is equipped with two load-independent, galvanically-isolated analogue outputs that can be configured for different input ranges and output curves. Frequency transducers are commonly used to interface with Controllers, Data-Loggers, PLC's, Analog/Digital Indicators, and RTUs. The PDH transducer offers accuracy class 0.2 with up to 3 KV isolation.

Masibus frequency transducers are known for their exceptional accuracy, repeatability, and reliability. They are preferred by OEMs and end-users for their excellent long-term stability.

Input - Output Signal Curves

The following describes the relationship between the input frequency and the output signal for different configurations:

Curve A: Linear
The output signal changes linearly with the input frequency.

Curve B: Linear with Live Zero
The output signal starts from a non-zero value (live zero) and changes linearly with the input frequency.

Curve C: Compressed Upper Region
The output signal is compressed in the upper range of the input frequency, meaning changes in frequency have a smaller impact on the output in this range.

Curve D: Compressed Lower Region
The output signal is compressed in the lower range of the input frequency, meaning changes in frequency have a smaller impact on the output in this range.
