About Kluge EHD ReManufactured Presses
As the premier manufacturer of Foil Stamping, Embossing, and Die Cutting equipment, Kluge understands that the two most important considerations when purchasing any piece of equipment are Performance and Economy.
Kluge holds a strong reputation for excellence in providing high-quality, ReManufactured Kluge EHD presses that are reasonably priced. These presses have passed the same rigorous quality control testing that new Kluge equipment undergoes. Not only do factory-trained personnel supervise each job, but the process meets the highest industry standards.
Our ReManufactured presses are economically priced and each comes complete with installation, training, and a 6-month parts warranty. As the original manufacturer, Kluge knows the history behind the equipment offered for sale, assuring its condition.
Benefits of a ReManufactured Press Over Used Equipment
It has been said that the biggest competition to a Kluge EHD is a Kluge EHD. While many old used Kluge presses are available and may appear attractive price-wise, the apparent economy may not be as good as purchasing a New or ReManufactured EHD press directly from the original manufacturer.
When comparing the price of a used Kluge EHD with a new or ReManufactured Kluge EHD, please consider the following issues:
- All new and ReManufactured Kluge presses come with an owner's manual and a parts manual.
- A new Kluge press has a one-year warranty on parts, and a ReManufactured Kluge has a 6-month warranty on parts.
- Kluge maintains a complete inventory of parts for all presses currently manufactured. For product liability reasons, Kluge does not sell parts for machines made before 1960. If there is any question about a press's age, contact Kluge for accurate information.
- The purchase of a new or ReManufactured Kluge includes installation. Additional operator training is also available.
- Kluge welcomes visitors to see a press prior to shipment. When purchasing a used press from a source other than Kluge, it is advisable to get the serial number of the actual press and ensure the sales agreement specifies the exact press being purchased.
- Kluge is happy to demonstrate the press or send samples of work produced on it.
Additionally, it is important to be aware of product liability issues. All Kluge presses, new or ReManufactured, are guarded to meet current OSHA and ANSI standards. A key requirement is that a press operating at 1800 Impressions Per Hour (IPH) must stop within ¼ revolution when the working area is accessed. The press must also be capable of being locked and tagged out during maintenance. All new and ReManufactured Kluge presses meet today's needs.
The ReManufacturing Process
The re-manufacturing process ensures that a used Kluge EHD press is restored to excellent condition, meeting modern standards.
Step 1: The Used EHD
When a Kluge EHD comes to the Brandtjen & Kluge Factory, it has typically been used faithfully for many years. Many parts may be worn, but the main components are usually still usable.
Step 2: Tear Down
The EHD press is taken apart completely, and all parts are professionally inspected for wear by experienced engineers.
Step 3: Rebuild
Worn parts are replaced, and the entire press is repainted and then reassembled. It then undergoes the same quality control process as a new EHD/EHF Series Press before shipment.
Step 4: Runout and Testing
Once rebuilt and painted, the press is put through a rigorous runout process. The machine is continuously run with a steady increase in pressure, and its temperature is monitored until factory-specified results are achieved. The re-manufacturing process is now complete, and the press is in excellent condition, ready for shipping.
