The MPS-Protective Hind Leg Double Sleeves are designed as medical-grade protective sleeves for a dog's hind legs. They are intended to aid in recovery from medical procedures, skin conditions, or injuries affecting the hind legs.

Important Safety Instructions

Read all safety and product information carefully before using the MPS-Protective Hind Leg Double Sleeves on your pet. Failure to follow these instructions may cause injury. MPS products are not toys or fashion items. Adult supervision is required during the use of this product. Improper use may lead to hotspots, chafing, skin irritation, inflammation, or infection. In case of emergency or doubt, consult your veterinarian immediately.

1. Usage: Use only on the advice/consultation of your veterinarian, and only after a medical procedure, for medical conditions, and skin problems. Do not use if damaged or containing loose parts.
2. Supervision: Your pet must always be under the supervision of a responsible adult while wearing the sleeves. Regular checks for cleanliness, friction, constriction, chafing, tripping hazard, or choking hazard are mandatory.
3. Adjustment period: Allow your pet to get used to the sleeves before surgery. Have your veterinarian put the sleeves on your pet during anesthesia. If in doubt, always consult your veterinarian. If your pet tends to chew or gnaw on materials, this product is not recommended. Always keep your pet under supervision.
4. Unusual behavior: If your pet exhibits unusual behavior (e.g., walking backward, excessive licking), remove the sleeves immediately and consult your veterinarian.
5. Visible issues: Check for proper fit and any skin irritation daily. Report any skin irritation or other problems to your veterinarian immediately for proper treatment and care.
6. Fit: Ensure the correct fit to avoid safety risks. Sleeves that are too large can cause tripping or choking hazards; sleeves that are too small can cause friction or skin irritation. Always measure your pet as described in the manual (link available at the end of the page). Both sleeves must always be worn to prevent twisting. The MPS-HLS must always be worn in combination with the MPS-Top Shirt. Ensure there is always room for 1 to 2 fingers around the legs and tail. Check at least once a day for any irritation around the legs and tail.
7. Wear time: Never use the sleeves for more than eight (8) consecutive hours unless prescribed by your veterinarian. Check the problem area or surgical zone every day. Remove the sleeves every few days, wash them, and let them air dry. For constant protection, consider purchasing a second set of sleeves.
