Children and Vulnerable People · This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. · Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. · Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are aged 8 years and above and supervised. · Keep all packaging well away from children to prevent the risk of suffocation. General Safety · Keep all ventilation openings clear of obstruction. · Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by Kogan.com. · Do not damage the refrigerant circuit. · Do not use other electrical appliances (such as ice cream makers) inside the appliance unless they are approved for this purpose by Kogan.com. · Do not touch the light bulb if it has been on for a long period of time as it will be very hot . · Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant inside this appliance. · The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is a flammable natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance. · During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged. · Avoid open flames and sources of ignition. · Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated. · It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. 3 · Any damage to the power cord may cause a short circuit, fire and/ or electric shock. Daily Use · Do not place hot items on the plastic components of the appliance. · Do not place food products directly against the rear wall. · Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has thawed. · Store pre- inst ruct ions. · Do not place carbonated drinks in the freezer as the pressure on the bottle may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance. · Ice cubes can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance. 4 Care and Cleaning · Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet before performing maintenance. · Do not clean the appliance with metal objects. · Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper. · Regularly examine the drain in the fridge for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain. If the drain is blocked, water will collect in the bottom of the appliance. Energy Saving · Do not put hot food inside the appliance. · Do not pack food close together as this prevents air circulating. · Ensure food does not touch the rear wall. · Keep the doors closed in the instance of a power outage. · Do not open the doors frequently or keep them open for a long time. · Do not set the thermostat to exceedingly cold temperatures. · Some accessories, such as drawers, can be removed for larger storage volume and lower energy consumption. 5 Responsible Disposal · At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household rubbish. Electrical products contain substances that can have a detrimental effect on the environment and human health if disposed of inappropriately. · Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and dispose of it appropriately for recycling and recovery of the refrigerant and blowing agent. This will help reduce power consumption. At least 50mm 135° At least 50mm 1250mm 1300mm 8 Posit ioning Install this appliance in a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class indicated on the rating plate of the appliance: Climate Class SN N ST T Ambient Temperature 10°C to 32°C 16°C to 32°C 16°C to 38 C 16°C to 43°C Loca t ion · The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight, etc. · Ensure that air can circulate freely around the back of the appliance. · To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum space between the top of the appliance and the wall unit must be at least 100mm. Ideally, however, the appliance should not be positioned below a overhanging wall unit. 9 Leveling Feet · To avoid vibration, the appliance must be levelled. · If required, adjust the leveling feet to compensate for the uneven floor. · The front should be slightly higher than the rear to aid in closing the door. · Leveling feet can be turned easily by slightly tipping the fridge. · Turn the leveling feet anti-clockwise to lower the fridge, and clockwise to raise it. Not e: Noise created by the compressor and refrigerant circulation during operation is normal. Electrical Connection · Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate corresponds to your domestic power supply. · The appliance must be earthed. · Plug the power plug into an electrical outlet. Allow the fridge to sit for at least 2 hours before turning on the power. · The plug must be accessible after installation. 10 OPERATION Before First Use · Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap, then dry thoroughly. · Do not use detergents or abrasive chemicals, as these will damage the finish. Temperature Setting Freezer t emperat ure sett ing: · The internal temperature is controlled by a sensor. There are 3 settings: SUMMER and WINTER . · · · If the ambient temperature is very high (above 43°C), it is recommended to adjust the temperature control knob to the dotted line on the left. · · If the ambient temperature is very low (below 10°C), it is recommended to adjust the temperature control knob to the dotted line on the right. · The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is particularly hot, or if the door is opened frequently. 11 Fridge temperature setting: · · · The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is particularly hot, or if the door is opened frequently. Not e: · It is recommended to only adjust the fridge temperature control knob seasonally. · Neither the fridge nor freezer works when the fridge temperature control knob is Drawer Humidit y · Low humidity: move the regulator to the left. · High humidity: move the regulator to the right. A Power Cool Indicator B Lock Indicator C Fridge Temperature Indicators 13 Control Panel Operation · Press a button to illuminate the control panel. The control panel will illuminate for 3 seconds at the previously selected mode and temperature settings. · The control panel will lock automatically after 2 seconds of no user input. · 60 seconds after locking, the control panel will turn off, with only the selected temperature indicator remaining illuminated. Fridge Mode · Press the Fridge button to cycle through the temperature setting options (2°C, 3°C, 4°C, 6°C, 8°C). · When the temperature is selected, the corresponding indicator will flash for 5 seconds and then remain solid. Power Cool Mode · Press the Power Cool button to enter Power Cool mode. The power cool indicator will illuminate, and the temperature of the fridge will rapidly cool down until it reaches 2°C. · Press the Power Cool button to manually exit Power Cool mode. The power cool indicator will turn off. · The fridge will automatically exit Power Cool mode after 3 hours. Lock/ Unlock · The lock deactivates the function of all buttons. · Press and hold the Power Cool button for 3 seconds to lock/ unlock the control panel. · The lock indicator will illuminate when the control panel is locked. · The control panel will lock automatically after 2 seconds of no user input. 14 Adjustable Shelves The walls of the fridge are equipped with runners so that the shelves can be adjusted and removed as desired. Posit ioning t he Door Shelves · The door shelves can be placed at different heights so food packages of all sizes can be st ored. · Gently slide the shelf upwards to remove it, then reposition as required. 15 Storing Food Freezer: · The freezer is used to freeze food, store frozen food and make ice cubes. · Do not put fresh and frozen food next to each other. The frozen food may thaw. · When freezing large amounts of fresh food (such as meat or fish), divide it into small pieces before putting it in the freezer to speed up freezing. · Abide by the storage times recommended by food manufacturers on the packaging. If there is no information on the packaging, food should not be frozen for longer than three months from the date of purchase. · When purchasing frozen food, make sure that it was frozen at a suitable temperature and that the packaging is not damaged. · Frozen food should be kept in suitable individual packages to ensure that adjacent food cannot be contaminated. · Consume thawed and defrosted foods immediately, do not refreeze them. · In case of prolonged power failure or malfunction, remove the stored frozen food and check if it is still edible, then store them in a sufficiently cool place or in another appliance. · To defrost food, remove it from the freezer and let it defrost at room temperature or in the fridge. To defrost food quickly, you can use the defrost function on your microwave, for example. · If you only want to defrost part of a pack, remove the portion you need and immediately close the rest of the pack. In this way, you will avoid freezer burn and will reduce ice formation on the remaining foods. Fridge: · To reduce moisture and subsequent ice build-up, never put liquid into the fridge in unsealed containers. Frost tends to concentrate in the coolest parts of the evaporator. Storing uncovered liquids results in a more frequent need for defrosting. · Never put warm foods in the fridge. These should first cool down at room temperature to ensure adequate air circulation. · Foods or food containers should not touch the back wall of the fridge because they could freeze to the wall. · Do not regularly open the door. · Meat and fish (in packaging or plastic) can be placed in the fridge and consumed in 1 2 days. · Fruit and vegetables can be placed in the fruit and vegetables box without packaging. 16 CLEANING & CARE · Disconnect the fridge from the electrical outlet before undertaking any routine maintenance. Allow at least 5 minutes before restarting the fridge, as frequent starting may damage the compressor. · Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by Kogan.com. · Do not try to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance by yourself. If repair is needed, contact Kogan.com. · Check the door gasket regularly to make sure there is no debris. Clean the door gasket with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent. · The interior of the fridge should be cleaned regularly to avoid odour. · Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside of the fridge, with two tablespoons of baking soda and warm water. · Then rinse with water and wipe clean. After cleaning, open the door and let it air dry before turning on the power. · For areas that are difficult to clean, such as narrow gaps or corners, it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag or brush, and when necessary, combined with auxiliary tools to ensure bacteria does not accumulate in these areas. · Remove the dust on the back of the fridge at least once a year to avoid a fire hazard and to conserve energy. · Wipe the outer surface of the fridge with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water and then wipe dry. · Do not use hard brushes, steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid, or alkaline items, which may damage the fridge. · Boiling water and organic solvents such as benzene may deform or damage plastic part s. · Do not rinse the fridge with water or other liquids during cleaning to avoid short circuit ing. 17 TROUBLESHOOTING If the solutions below are unsuccessful, contact help.Kogan.com for support. Problem The appliance does not turn on. The appliance freezes or cools too much. The food is not frozen enough. Heavy build-up of frost on the door seal. Possible Cause The power cord is not plugged in or is loose. Fuse has blown or is defect ive. Electrical outlet is defective. Temperature is set too cold. Temperature is not cold enough. The door was open for an extended period. A large quantity of warm food was placed in the appliance within the last 24 hours. The appliance is located near a source of heat. Door seal is not airtight. Solut ion Plug in the power cord. Check the fuse. If the fuse needs to be replaced, contact help.Kogan.com. Consult a certified electrician. Temporarily set the temperature to a warmer set t ing. Tem perat ure Setting section. Open the door only as long as necessary. Temporarily adjust the temperature to a colder set t ing. sect ion. Carefully warm the leaking sections of the door seal with a hair dryer (on a cool setting). At the same time, shape the warmed door seal by hand so that it sits correctly. 18 Unusual noises. Indicator is flashing. The appliance is not level. The appliance is touching a wall or another object. A component, e.g., a pipe, at the rear of the appliance is touching another part of the appliance or a wall. Sensor fault. Re-adjust the feet. Move the appliance slightly.
