This manual provides instructions for the Rowenta X-Force Flex 12.60 Neo and 13.60 vacuum cleaners. Please read carefully before first use.
1. Introducing the X-Force Flex 12.60 Neo / 13.60
Your new vacuum cleaner includes the following components:
- 1. Easy Wash Filter (x2, part number ZR009014)
- 2. Separator
- 3. Dust Container
- 4. Fine Particle Filter (part number ZR009015)
- 5. Removable Battery (part number ZR009706)
- 6. Charging Base
- 7. Sofa Brush
- 8. Crevice Nozzle
- 9. Animal Turbo Brush

2. Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your vacuum cleaner:
- Connect the main tube to the floor brush.
- Connect the handle/motor unit to the main tube.
- Attach the desired accessory (crevice nozzle, sofa brush, or animal turbo brush) to the handle/motor unit.

3. Charging Base Set Up
To set up the charging base:
- Choose a suitable wall location, at least 145 cm from the floor.
- Mount the charging base to the wall using the provided screws (x4).
- Ensure the charging base is securely attached.

4. Using the Vacuum Cleaner
Ensure your vacuum cleaner is fully charged before first use.
Power Button On/Off
To turn the device on or off, press the start button.
Boost Trigger
For intensive cleaning of hard floors and heavily soiled carpets, press and hold the boost trigger.
Auto Function
The vacuum cleaner features an AUTO function that adapts the power to different floor types. It performs thousands of calculations and measurements during each floor detection, and it may take a few seconds to optimize performance when transitioning between floor types.
Control Display
Your appliance has 4 power modes:
- 1. Manual Mode:
- ECO: For everyday use on light dirt and delicate surfaces like shelves, frames, and curtains.
- MAX: For vacuuming dust from hard floors and carpets.
- BOOST: For intensive daily cleaning of floors and carpets with heavy soiling. Note that at maximum power, the operating time is shorter.
- 2. Auto Mode: Adjusts power automatically based on floor type for optimal battery usage.
- 3. Battery: Displays the battery level when the vacuum cleaner is turned off.
- 4. Cleaning Alert: Indicates when the vacuum cleaner needs cleaning.

5. Flex Function & Accessories
Flex Function
Your appliance is equipped with Flex technology, allowing you to reach furthest areas under low furniture effortlessly.
- Press the button to activate the flex function.
- Bend the tube to reach under low furniture.
- Click to secure the position.
Accessories for Specific Cleaning Purposes
Your device has 2 integrated cleaning brushes for most surfaces. Ensure accessories are properly reattached after cleaning.
- Use the crevice tool* to vacuum hard-to-reach places.
- Use the sofa brush* to vacuum textiles like sofas, curtains, or mattresses.
- Use the mini turbo brush* for in-depth vacuuming of sofas, mattresses, carpets, or small rugs.
*Available on some models only.
6. Battery & Charge
A full battery charge takes 3 hours.
Charging Options:
Option 1: Place the device on its installed charging base and plug it in.
Option 2: Remove the battery from the device by sliding it out, then insert the battery into its charging base and plug it in. You can also charge the battery directly without the charging base.
- Flashing blue light: Battery is charging.
- Blue light off: Battery is charged.
- Flashing red light: Refer to the safety booklet.

7. Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Container
The dust inside the container should not exceed the maximum level indicated.
Press the release button to empty the dust container.
Cleaning the Dust Container
Clean your dust container once a week for optimal efficiency.

8. Maintenance Alert
Filter Maintenance (1x Week)
Clean your filter once a week for maximum efficiency, or when the orange indicator light illuminates. Replace your filter twice a year. For a new filter, look for Rowenta part number ZR009014.
If the indicator light remains on after cleaning, check that the tube is not clogged.
Motor Filter Maintenance (1x Year)
Clean your motor filter every 6 months for maximum efficiency. Replace your motor filter once a year. For a new motor filter, look for Rowenta part number ZR009015.

Recyclability
Make sure to separate the battery from the device and recycle these items at designated collection points.
9. Maintenance Alert
Check that the dust container, tube, or brush are not clogged.
Empty the dust container and clean the filter inside the separator. The filter must be completely dry before reinstallation.
Clean the motor filter. The motor filter must be completely dry before reinstallation.
Troubleshooting
If the vacuum cleaner is not working correctly:
- Turn the vacuum cleaner off and on again. If the problem persists, contact an Authorized Service Center.
- Check that the correct charger is being used. If the problem persists, contact an Authorized Service Center.
- Disconnect and reconnect the battery pack. If the problem persists, contact an Authorized Service Center.
