Installation

Environment

  • Space: Maintain at least 10cm clearance between the washer and the wall.
  • Surface: Place the washer on a sturdy, flat surface. Uneven or weak surfaces can cause noise and vibration. The maximum tilt angle on the supporting surface should be 2°.
  • Water Proximity: Never install the washer near water, in steamy rooms, or where it is directly exposed to rain. Moisture can damage electrical insulation, causing an electric shock hazard.
  • Heat Source: Avoid direct sunlight or heaters. Direct heat can affect plastic and electrical components.

Assembling the Bottom Plate

  1. Place the washing machine on a soft cloth with the front side facing up.
  2. Insert the bottom plate into the slots on the base underneath and tighten with a screw.

Leveling the Washer

If the washer is not level, it may tremble or malfunction. Adjust the feet to ensure it is perfectly level.

Checking Level: Pour water into the tub up to just below the pulsator. Adjust the feet so the pulsator is centered in the water.

Adjusting Position: Lift and turn the adjustable feet to achieve a level position. Ensure the distance to the wall is at least 10cm and the tilt angle is no more than 2°.

Attention

  • Remove packing parts (base packing, tub support) before use, otherwise the machine may not run correctly.
  • Some water may drain from the drain hose during installation or the first use; this is residual water from factory inspection.
  • After washing, unplug the power cord and close the water faucet to prevent electric shock, fire, or water leakage.

Power Supply and Grounding

Power Supply

Before plugging in, check the voltage rating on the label at the back of the washer to ensure it matches your power supply.

Grounding

  • If your water faucet or pipes are not metal, connect the ground wire to a copper plate or metal rod buried in the earth.
  • If your faucet and pipes are metal, connect the ground wire to the base of the water faucet.
  • If using a 3-core cord, grounding is not necessary.
  • Do not connect the ground wire to plastic water pipes.

Never Connect the Ground Wire to Such a Thing

  • Never connect to a gas pipe due to explosion risk.
  • Never connect to a telephone wire or lightning rod due to electrical danger.

Water Connection

Be careful not to confuse hot (pink) and cold (blue) water inlets if your washer has dual inlets. If you have a single tap, connect it to the cold water inlet (blue).

Confirming the Water Faucet

  • Type A: Suitable, a special faucet for washer use.
  • Type B: Suitable if the faucet front end is longer than 10mm, and the exit surface is flat and smooth. File if necessary to prevent leaks.
  • Type C: Not suitable, may cause leakage. Replace faucet if needed.

Connection the Water Supply Hose

Connect the other end of the water supply hose to the inlet water valve at the back of the washer, screwing it clockwise.

Plan A: For screw-type taps, use the appropriate water supply hose assembly.

Plan B: For other tap types:

  1. Remove the adaptor from the water supply hose.
  2. Loosen the four screws on the adaptor, adjust part (b) for a 5mm gap, then tighten screws.
  3. Connect the adaptor to the water tap, then reassemble parts (a) and (b).
  4. Connect the water supply hose to the adaptor by pulling down part (c) and allowing it to click into place.

Notice: After connection, check for leaks and repeat steps if necessary. Use the most suitable faucet type. If the faucet end is square or too large, loosen screws and remove the bushing in the adaptor before inserting the faucet end.

Leak Test

Turn on the water supply completely to check for leaks. If leaks occur, turn off the water and repeat the connection steps. For special taps, consult a qualified plumber.

Drain Hose Setting

  • Connect the drain hose to the drain outlet at the side of the washer and secure it with the hose clamp.
  • Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or trapped in its final position.
  • The corrugated drain hose should be inserted into a suitable drain pipe between 50cm and 85cm height from the floor, with a minimum inner width of 4cm.
  • If connecting under a sink, route the hose above the sink's overflow vent to prevent siphoning.
  • Do not submerge the drain hose in water to prevent siphoning.
  • Secure the drain hose reliably to avoid leaks or spills.

Checking Before Washing and Care for Garments

Follow these checkpoints to avoid machine problems or garment damage. A service fee may apply for customer faults.

Checkpoints Before Starting Washing

  • Colorfastness: Test by applying liquid detergent to a hidden area of the garment and a white towel, then rubbing. Check for color transfer. Be cautious with scarves and imported clothes.
  • Stains: Check for stains or dirt. Rub stains with a detergent-dampened towel in one direction.
  • Pre-treatment: Pre-treat sleeves, collars, and hems with detergent.
  • Wrinkle-processed wool: These items are treated with threads; remove threads after drying.

Not Washable Laundry

Items easily transformed by water, including:

  • Neckties, brassieres, jackets, suits, coats (often made of rayon, polynosic, etc.)
  • Wrinkle-processed, embossed, or resin-processed products
  • Easily discoloring cotton and wool items
  • Wrinkled silk, leather products, and leather accessories

Do not wash items without handling or material indication tags.

About Detergent

  • Use warm water (around 40°C) if detergent does not dissolve well.
  • Use an appropriate amount of detergent. Excess detergent does not improve results and can lead to insufficient rinsing, potentially damaging garments.
  • Bleaching agents are strong alkalis and can damage garments.
  • Rinse thoroughly to prevent detergent residue, which can cause odors.
  • Insufficiently dissolved detergent (from too much or cold water) can contaminate clothes and the machine.
  • For reserved washing, place detergent in the detergent box. Spreading powder detergent directly on laundry can cause discoloration.

Caring for Clothes Before Washing

  • Pockets: Remove all personal belongings like hairpins and coins, as they can damage clothes and the machine, and cause noise.
  • Zippers/Hooks: Close zippers and hooks on jeans and uniforms before washing to prevent inner tub damage.
  • Wash Separately: Wash items like winter jumpers, working uniforms, bed sheets, and jeans separately.
  • Folding: Fold clothes neatly into the inner tub. Remove curtain hooks before washing.
  • Decorations: Turn clothes with buttons, decorations, or embroidery inside out. Be cautious of metal decorations that can cause damage.
  • Strings: Secure long strings on garments to prevent tangling.
  • Brassieres: Use a commercial laundry net with fine mesh for washing brassieres to prevent damage to clothes or the inner tub from underwires.
  • Waterproof Clothes: Waterproof items (ski wear, diaper covers, footboards, waterproof sheets, raincoats, umbrella covers, car seats, sleeping bags) are not allowed for washing. They may not drain water, causing severe vibration and potential damage to the machine, walls, and floor.
  • Spinning Cautions: Waterproof fabrics can cause severe vibration during spinning due to uneven water distribution.
  • Dirt: Shake dirt and sand from clothes to prevent damage to delicate garments and ensure satisfactory washing results.
  • Baby Clothes: Wash diapers and baby wear separately from adult clothes to prevent dirt transfer.
  • Pre-washing: Pre-wash white socks, sleeves, and collars. Use powder or liquid detergents; avoid soap, which can leave residue in the inner tub.
  • Nappy Clothes: Turn nappy clothes inside out before washing.
  • Foreign Matter: Separate items with excessive foreign matter.
  • Colors: Wash dark-colored clothes and cotton towels separately to prevent color transfer or dirt pickup.
  • Volume/Lightweight Items: Use a laundry net for bulky or lightweight items like lace-decorated clothes, lingerie, nylon stockings, and synthetic fabrics to prevent damage and machine issues.
  • Curtains/Jeans: Press down floating garments like curtains or blue jeans to ensure they sink. If they float during the wash, pause the machine and press them down. Continued floating can cause damage and unsatisfactory results.

Error Codes

  • E1: Spinning does not work - Check if laundry is spread evenly and the washer is on a stable, flat surface.
  • E2: Water is not supply - Check if the water tap is open, supply is not cut off, hose/filter is not clogged, water pressure is sufficient, and the inlet has not timed out.
  • E3: Water does not drain - Check if the drain hose is positioned correctly (not too high, not kinked, not clogged, not frozen).
  • E4: Washing machine won't work - Check if the lid is open.
  • EL: Washing machine won't work or does not drain - Check if Child-Lock is active and the lid is open.
  • EA or EC: Other problem - Press POWER, cut off power, unplug, and call the service agency.

Troubleshooting

Most problems can be solved by checking the following:

Before Calling for Service, Check These:

  • Power is cut off: Verify normal electric voltage and ensure the power plug is securely inserted into the receptacle.
  • Washing machine does not drain: Ensure the drain hose is down, not folded, and the outlet is not clogged.
  • Washing machine doesn't work: Check if the lid is closed, START/PAUSE has been pressed, sufficient water is filled, and the faucet is open.
  • Water leaks at the supply hose connector: Check for loose faucet connections, ensure rubber packing is correctly positioned, check for hose kinks, ensure water supply is not too strong, and verify the faucet itself is not leaking.
  • Water is not supplied: Confirm START/PAUSE was pressed after selecting water supply, the faucet is open, the filter net is not clogged, and the water supply is active.
  • Spinning makes loud noises and vibrations: Ensure laundry is spread evenly, the washer is level on a sturdy floor, and no unnecessary items are around the machine.

These Cases Are Not Malfunctions:

  • The "wing" sound during water supply is from the water inlet valve.
  • The "sha" sound when the inner tub stops is from liquid moving in the balance ring.
  • The "hu-lo" sound during the drain cycle is from the drain pump operating.

Note: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified personnel to avoid hazards.

Appliance Usage Restrictions:

  • The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Ensure ventilation openings in the base are not obstructed by carpets.
