Diagram of Interfaces
The device features several ports for input, output, and power:
- HDMI OUT (1): HD audio video output interface.
- HDMI Output LED Indicator (2): This indicator will light up when the extractor is correctly connected to the TV.
- SPDIF (3): Digital audio output interface.
- L/R (4): Analog audio output interface (stereo RCA ports).
- DC 5V (5): DC +5V Power supply interface.
- POWER LED (6): This indicator will light up in red when the power is on.
- HDMI IN (7): HD audio video signal input interface.
- Audio format (EDID) selection switch (8): This switch controls the EDID output mode:
- PASS: The audio signal format output from the adapter will match the TV's default audio format (EDID).
- 2CH: The Toslink (SPDIF) interface will output 2-channel digital audio, and the L/R interface will output 2-channel analog audio.
- 5.1CH: The Toslink (SPDIF) interface will output 5.1-channel digital audio.
Connection and Operation
Visual Description: The connection diagram illustrates a typical setup where a source device (e.g., TV box) connects to the extractor's HDMI IN. The extractor's HDMI OUT connects to a display. Audio outputs (SPDIF, L/R) are shown connecting to an amplifier system. The power adapter connects to the DC 5V input.
Connection Steps:
- Connect the DVD/BD HDMI HD output to the HDMI input of the splitter via the HDMI cable.
- Connect the HDMI output of the splitter to the TV/display HDMI input via the HDMI cable.
- When digital audio is required, connect it from the OPTICAL output of the splitter to the fiber input of the amplifier through the fiber optic cable.
- When analog audio is required, connect the 2-channel analog audio to the TV or amplifier analog audio input via the RCA audio cable. Ensure the EDID mode switch is selected in 2CH mode for corresponding channel output.
- Finally, connect the DC head of the power adapter to the DC input of the decoder, and then plug the adapter into the power outlet.
