Getting Started Guide
Before You Start
[Installation Instructions] Only install unit according to the supplied Installation Instructions.
When plugging unit in, always press the RESET button on the Current Device.
You're in Control
The control panel features a digital display and several buttons to manage your Frigidaire room air conditioner. Key functions are numbered for easy reference:
1. Get Started
Press the [Power On/Off] button. The unit defaults to Eco mode with auto fan speed and a temperature setting of 72°F. Use the [-] or [+] buttons to adjust the temperature.
In Eco mode (Energy Saver), cooling cycles off when the set temperature is reached. The fan runs every 10 minutes to monitor room temperature.
2. Change Mode
Press the [Mode] button to cycle through available operating modes.
3. Adjust Fan Speed
Press the [Fan] button to increase fan speed. The Auto Fan option automatically adjusts fan speed based on significant changes in room temperature.
4. Go to Sleep
Press the [Sleep] button. The temperature will gradually increase by 4°F (2°C) over one hour and then maintain that setting for seven hours.
5. Activate Child Lock
Press and hold the [Mode] button for 3 seconds to lock the control panel. Press and hold the [Mode] button for another 3 seconds to deactivate Child Lock.
6. Set the Timer
Press the [Timer] button to set an automatic turn-on or shut-off time, up to 24 hours in advance. When the unit is ON, the displayed time is for shut-off. When the unit is OFF, the displayed time is for turn-on. To cancel the timer, press and hold the [Timer] button for 2 seconds.
7. Change Temperature Unit
Press and hold both the [-] and [+] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch the display between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
8. Clean the Dust Filter
The Dust Filter light will illuminate after 250 hours of use, indicating the filter needs cleaning. To turn off the light, press and hold the [Fan] button for 5 seconds.
9. PureAir™ Premium Allergen Filter
If the PureAir™ Premium Allergen Filter (sold separately) is installed, the PureAir™ Filter light will be white. After 1440 hours of use, the light turns red, signaling it's time to replace the filter. To reset the light, press and hold the [Sleep] button for 5 seconds.
