Repair Instructions
To open the microphone:
- Press the grille cap (1) firmly against your palm.
- Simultaneously turn the microphone housing (6) counterclockwise until the cap disengages.
- The support basket (3) is disengaged by turning it clockwise.
- The capsule (4) is inserted into the microphone housing.
The grille cap (1) and foam insert (2) can be washed in soapy water. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reinstalling.
Wiring Instructions
The brown wire is designated as the "inphase" connection. With the capsule held upright and the membrane facing up, connect this wire to the center solder tag on the capsule body. This tag also connects to the hum compensation coil.
The black wire should be connected to the left solder tag on the capsule body. The right solder tag remains unconnected and serves as a solder post between the voice coil and the hum compensation coil.
On the connector, pin 2 is the "inphase" connection. When replacing the connector, ensure that pin 1 is correctly connected to the grounding tag.
