Electrical Connections
WARNING! READ THESE ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONNECTING THE PRODUCT TO THE MAINS SUPPLY.
Before switching the product on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate. This product is designed to operate on 230VAC 50Hz. Connecting it to any other power source may cause damage.
This product may be fitted with a non-rewireable plug. If it is necessary to change the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or due to damage, it should be cut off and a replacement fitted, following the wiring instructions shown below. The old plug must be disposed of safely, as insertion we would emphasise the electrical hazard.
WARNING: WIRES IN THE MAINS LEAD ARE COLOURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE: GREEN/YELLOW = EARTH, BLUE = NEUTRAL, BROWN = LIVE.
- The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured black.
- The BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured red.
- The YELLOW AND GREEN wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or ? or coloured green.
Plug must be BS1363/A approved.
Diagram Description: A standard UK plug with a fuse. The wires are shown connecting to the correct terminals: Earth (Green and Yellow) to the top pin, Neutral (Blue) to the left pin, and Live (Brown) to the right pin. Ensure the outer sheath of the cable is firmly held by the clamp. Always fit a 13 Amp fuse.
We strongly recommend that this machine is connected to the mains supply via a Residual Current Device (RCD).
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself.

R290 Refrigerant Gas (Hydrocarbon Propane)
H220: Extremely Flammable Gas.
H280: Contains Gas Under Pressure, May Explode if Heated.
R290 refrigerant gas complies with European environmental directives.
R290 has a low GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 3.
The dehumidifier contains approximately 52g of R290 refrigerant gas. The refrigerant system MUST NOT be perforated or punctured.
- DO NOT use or store in an unventilated space with an area smaller than 4m² per unit. The room must be such as to prevent stagnation of possible leaks of refrigerant gas as there could be a danger of fire or explosion hazard should the refrigerant come into contact with electric heaters, stoves or other sources of ignition.

Set Up & Positioning the Dehumidifier
WARNING: DO NOT USE OR STORE THE DEHUMIDIFIER NEAR A HEAT SOURCE, AS THE UNIT CONTAINS PRESSURISED FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT GAS (R290-HYDROCARBON PROPANE)
- Empty any water that is in the water tank before every use.
- During the running of the dehumidifier, refrain from opening doors or windows as much as possible.
- Position the dehumidifier close to a mains electrical supply socket.
- The appliance should be installed, operated and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 4m².
- Free space as indicated must be left around the dehumidifier, so as not to block the air flow.
- Make sure that the power cable is not placed where it can be inadvertently pulled or pinched and where it does not cause a trip hazard.
Diagram Description: The dehumidifier is shown with recommended clearances. A 20cm space is indicated around the sides and back, and a 50cm space in front of the air outlet.

Continuous Draining
This function enables continuous dehumidifying without having to empty the water tank.
Preparation for Continuous Draining:
- Locate the water drain cap on the rear of the machine and unscrew.
- Fit the drainage pipe supplied onto the water drain outlet.
- Always replace the drain cap when not using the continuous draining procedure.
NOTE: The pipe should have an internal diameter of 9mm and an outer diameter of 12mm.
NOTE: Make sure that the drain pipe always runs downhill away from the dehumidifier and the end should be a minimum of 10cm below the water drain outlet.
NOTE: DO NOT submerge the end of the pipe in water, as this may cause water to be drawn back up into the machine.
Maintenance
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE DEHUMIDIFIER BEFORE PERFORMING ANY CLEANING OR MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS.
Cleaning the Cabinet
- Use a soft damp cloth to clean the exterior.
- Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the casing finish.
- Clean the water tank and its cover regularly to prevent mould build up.
Cleaning the Air Filter
- Pull the filter cover forwards, from the bottom.
- Remove the filter cover and lift the filter out.
- Wash the filter under running water to remove any dust and dirt.
- Allow the filter to dry naturally.
- Refitting is the reverse process.
The frequency depends on the duration and the level of dust in the environment. If the machine is being used regularly, it is recommended that you clean the filter every 2 weeks.
Storage
- Unplug from the mains socket and empty the tank.
- Clean and reinstall the filter.
- Cover the dehumidifier to prevent dust getting into the workings.
