Assembly Steps
Step 1: Attach Side Rails to Base Frame
Connect the two side rails to the base frame. Insert two long screws (123756) through the pre-drilled holes in the base frame and into the bottom of each side rail. Use the assembly tool (100001) to tighten securely. Ensure the wooden dowels (121114) are correctly seated in their respective holes before tightening screws.
Step 2: Secure Mattress Support Base
Align the mattress support base with the side rails. Attach the base using four brackets (10050797) and four cam lock screws (148624). Insert the screws through the brackets and into the side rails. Use the assembly tool (100001) to tighten. ❌ Do not force parts; ensure proper alignment before tightening.
Step 3: Insert Mattress Support Base
Carefully place the assembled mattress support base into the crib frame. The base can be positioned at two different heights. The lower position is recommended for older babies who can sit or stand. The higher position is suitable for newborns. Arrows indicate the direction of insertion and adjustment.
Step 4: Attach Top Rails
Attach the top rails to the upper ends of the side rails. Insert four long screws (123756) through the top of the side rails and into the top rails. Use the assembly tool (100001) to tighten. Ensure the wooden dowels (121114) are correctly seated.
Step 5: Secure Top Frame
Complete the assembly by securing the top frame. Insert two wooden dowels (101350) into the designated holes on each end of the top frame. Gently tap them into place using a hammer ?. Then, place four plastic caps (102366) over the exposed screw heads or connection points on the top frame for a finished look.
Mattress Information
For the IKEA SNIGLAR crib, use a mattress with the following specifications:
- Dimensions: 60 cm x 120 cm (47 1/4" x 23 5/8")
- Maximum Thickness: 12 cm (4 3/4")
