Information on e-waste handling and management
Dear Customer, The Ministry of Environment and Forests have published The E-waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 which comes in effect from 1st May 2012. E-waste is defined as any electrical or electronic component of products in whole or in part, or rejects from their manufacturing or repair process which are intended to be discarded. These rules apply to every producer; consumer or bulk consumer involved in the manufacture, sale, and purchase and processing of electrical and electronic equipment or components as specified in Schedule 1 (please refer to our website www.godrej.com in the `Good & Green' sec on of CSR module for more details). Under these rules, specific roles and responsibilities are defined for producers, consumers and recycles handling and managing e-waste. E-waste is to be managed in an environmentally sound manner which means, taking steps to ensure that health and environment are protected from adverse effects of hazardous substance contained in such wastes. Rule 6 of the E-waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 states that bulk consumers of electrical and electronic equipment shall be responsible for recycling of the e-waste generated by them. Bulk consumer means bulk users of electronic and electrical equipment such as Central Government or State Government Departments, public sector undertakings, banks, educational institutions, multinational organisations, and international agencies, private companies that are registered under the Factories Act, 1948 and Companies Act, 1956. The bulk consumers have to ensure that the e-waste generated by them is channelised to authorised collection centres or is taken back by the producers. They shall maintain records of e-waste generated by them in Form 2 and make such records available for scrutiny by the State Pollution Control or the Pollution Control Commitee concerned. All consumers of electrical and electronic equipment irrespective of their status as bulk consumers or not, shall ensure that e-waste generated by them is channelized to authorized collection centres (s) or registered dismantler(s), or recycler(s) or is returned to the pick¬up/take back services provided by the producers. (Please refer to our website www.godrej.com in the 'Good & Green' sec on of CSR module for more details). All our products intended to be recycled under the category of e-waste (as defined above) carry a label or stamp of the WEEE symbol (A wheelie bin with a cross), which states that it falls under the hazardous waste category and is not to be disposed of along with normal garbage. We seek your support in ensuring environmentally sound management of e-waste and aid us in sustaining our earth's natural resources and maintaining the earth's green cover intact for the benefit of our future generations.

Smart tips for different fingerprint conditions
Godrej's fingerprint products are designed to scan fingerprints smoothly, regardless of the finger skin condition. However, in case the sensor doesn't read a fingerprint, please refer to the followings tips. · If a finger is wet due to sweat or water, scan only after completely drying it. · If a finger is covered with dust or impurities, scan only after wiping them clean. · If a finger is yet to dry, place only after blowing warm breath on the fingertip and
drying it completely.
Registering fingerprints is this easy
The locker must be in open condition. 1 All you have to do is Press the "Reset/Enroll Button" located at the back of the
locker door (near the door hinge). A beep will be heard and the Green LED of the fingerprint reader will light up. 2 Next, place any finger on the sensor screen within 5 seconds. While registering the fingerprint, green LED lights up with a single beep. Do not remove your finger during the enrolment process. If the fingerprint is registered successfully, green LED will flash and beep twice. If not RED LED will flash and beep twice. If no finger is placed on the sensor screen within 5 Seconds, RED LED Will flash and beep twice. 3 Finally, keep the door open and verify the fingerprint 3-4 times before closing the door.
21

How to close the locker and open a new door to security
First, Close the door of the locker and press the wake-up button. A beep will be heard and the green LED will flash once. Next, the bolts will extend fully followed by a short beep and the door will be closed. To confirm, Pull the door to ensure the locker is closed. Warning: When Red LED flashes 3 times with a melody, it's time to change the batteries.
Right finger placement
1 To get it right, place a finger such that it completely covers the sensor area.
2 It is recommended to use the index finger or the middle finger.
3 Be warned, thumb, ring or little finger is more difficult to place in the correct position. (a)
4 Place the centerr part of the finger at the center of the sensor.
5 If a finger is placed as shown in picture (b), only a small area of the finger is captured. Hence, always place the core area of the finger as shown in picture (a).
6 For instances, when an enrolled fingerprint cannot be used due to injury or holding baggage, it is (b) recommended to enroll more than two fingers per user.
20

In case of emergency use the override key
1 Open the keyhole.
2 Use one of the override keys and insert it into the cylinder. Turn anti-clockwise to open the locker.
3 While the door is open and the key is still turned, follow the instructions to set your personal code.
Note: When you set the new personal code, rotate the key to the locked position, so that it can be removed. If you get an error message, wait until the motor stops moving and then turn the key back to locked position and remove it. Your new personal code will still remain. WARNING: Keep the override keys in a safe place other than inside the locker. These keys are to be used in case of emergency.
USB access Technology always helps
In case of low battery, a regular USB wire connected to a power bank can be inserted in the slot available on the lock panel. This will energise the locker by using power from the USB source*. The user can then enter the code, unlock the locker and replace the battery.
*This does not charge the locker batteries. You will still need to replace batteries.
13

Free yourself from the error messages
Listed below are error codes that you might encounter: This means that you have pressed an incorrect personal code. You need to Verify your personal code and try again. If you get this error four times consecutively, the keypad will lock out for 0/15/30 minutes. This means that the locker has entered the lockout period. You will not be able to open the locker during the lockout period. However, by pressing any key during this period you can see how much time is left until the lockout is over. If your personal code still doesn't work, use the override keys to reset the locker. (see "TO ACCESS THE PROGRAMMING" section 3) This means that the bolts have failed to retract fully. To rectify the error, Press the door towards the inside while entering your personal code. If you still cannot open your locker, then contact GSS Call Center on 1800 20 999 55 or write to us at secure@godrej.com. This could also mean that the bolts have failed to extend fully. This may happen because the locker is too full. To correct the error, Press the door to close it fully while pressing your personal code. If you still cannot close your locker then contact the GSS Call Center on 1800 20 999 55 and consider it done.
