Installation Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Surface
Identify the desired mounting surface. The cabinet's mounting holes are 16 inches apart on center. Mark the mounting surface and install mounting hardware. Leave about 1/4 inch of hardware exposed for mounting.
Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates mounting a cabinet to a wall. It shows screws being inserted into a wall, with a note indicating the keyhole slot on the cabinet should engage with the wall stud. The spacing of mounting holes on the back of the cabinet is shown as 16 inches on center. A close-up shows screws not fully tightened.
Step 2: Mount Cabinet
Place the cabinet on the exposed mounting hardware. Ensure that the hardware fully engages the recess in the cabinet.
Diagram Description: This diagram shows the cabinet being hung on the wall-mounted screws. A close-up view details how the cabinet's mounting slots connect with the wall screws. The back view of the cabinet is also depicted.
Step 3: Secure Cabinet Back
Install additional mounting screws into the back surface of the cabinet. The spacing is also 16 inches on center. Be sure to install mounting screws in the locations nearest to the hinges for proper weight support. Fully tighten hardware.
**IMPORTANT ** Screws going through the hinge are critical! They should be going into the studs to maintain weight capacity.
** HINGES ARE CRITICAL**
Diagram Description: The diagram shows the back of the cabinet with multiple screws being installed. Arrows point to specific screw locations near the hinges, emphasizing their importance for weight support and connection to wall studs.
Step 4: Door Installation & Bushings
There are two pre-installed bushings installed on the non-pivot side of the cabinet door. These bushings are used to protect the door during shipping. These can be removed or saved as spare bushings. The door can also be installed to open to the right or to the left. These bushings are required for proper mounting when changing door opening direction.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the cabinet door slightly ajar, highlighting the bushings located on the hinge side. Text explains that these bushings protect the door during shipping and can be removed or reused.
Step 5: Adjust Rail Depth
If rail depth needs to be adjusted, unscrew the mounting screw from the top and bottom of the rail. Move the rail to the desired location. Reinstall the rail with the mounting screw and screw plate.
Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the process of adjusting the depth of a rack rail. It shows a screw being removed from a rail support, the rail being repositioned, and the screw being reinserted.
Step 6: Remove Knockouts
To remove the knockouts, insert a flathead screwdriver into the small opening at the edge of the knockout. Pry the knockout up and twist until the insert becomes free.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a flathead screwdriver being used to remove a circular knockout from a panel. The screwdriver is inserted into a small notch, and the knockout is pried upwards and twisted.
