Product Instruction

This section illustrates the components of the Smart Matter Roller Motor system.

• Matter WiFi module: The core component connecting to your smart home network.
• DC 5V/2A Power adapter: Provides power to the motor.
• Set Key: A button on the motor used for pairing and configuration.

⚠️ Note: The motor must always be connected to the power adapter for power supply to work properly.

Remote Controls

Two types of remote controls are available:

Single Channel Remote

Features:

Multi Channel Remote

Features:

• Channel Selection Buttons (Channel- [◀️], Channel+ [▶️])

Replace Tail Plug

The motor is defaultly suitable for 17mm tubes. Please change the accessories if you need to match different tube sizes (25mm or 28mm).

For 25mm tube: Attach the provided adapter, collar, and end cap specific to 25mm tubes.

For 28mm tube: Attach the provided adapter, collar, and end cap specific to 28mm tubes.

⚠️ You must use the remote control to set the motor limit before you can control it in the app.

Motor Pair to Remote Control

These operations only work for the remote control within the effective control distance, and the motor must be in the power-on state. Otherwise, it will not work.

1. Connection Setting for Motor and Remote Control

Follow these steps to pair the motor with a remote control:

1. Choose one of the available channels on the remote control using the "<" or ">>" buttons.
2. Press the motor's [Set Key] once. The motor will respond with a "Di" sound.
3. Within 5 seconds, press the remote control's [Up/Open Key].
4. The motor will confirm successful pairing with another "Di" sound.

2. Network Configuration of Motor

Method 1:

Follow these steps for network configuration:

1. Select the channel on the remote control that is connected to the motor using the "<" or ">>" key.
2. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 6 times. The remote screen will display "6".
3. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Stop Key].
4. After a "Di" sound, the motor has entered pairing mode.

Method 2:

Follow these steps for network configuration:

1. Press the motor's [Set Key] 3 times within 5 seconds.
2. After a "Di" sound, the motor has entered pairing mode.

Set the Limit

First, run the motor to the desired limit position and pause it. Then, perform the following operations. If the motor already has travel limits set, you need to clear the original travel before resetting.

1. Up Limit Setting

Steps to set the upper limit:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] once. The screen will show "1".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Up/Open Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

2. Down Limit Setting

Steps to set the lower limit:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] once. The screen will show "1".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Down/Close Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

3. Third Position Limit Setting

Steps to set a third intermediate limit position:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] once. The screen will show "1".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Stop Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

Remove Limit

You can delete set limits at any position.

1. Delete Up Limit

Steps to remove the upper limit:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 3 times. The screen will show "3".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Up/Open Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

2. Delete Down Limit

Steps to remove the lower limit:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 3 times. The screen will show "3".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Down/Close Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

3. Delete Third Position Limit

Steps to remove the third limit position:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 3 times. The screen will show "3".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Stop Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

4. Reset to Factory Mode (Delete All Limits)

Steps to delete all limits and reset to factory mode:

1. Press the motor's [Set Key] 5 times within 5 seconds.
2. The motor will confirm successful reset with a "Di" sound.

Delete the Remote Control

1. Delete Current Channel from Motor

Steps to unpair a specific remote channel:

1. Choose the channel connected to the motor using the remote control ">>" key.
2. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 5 times. The screen will show "5".
3. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Up/Open Key].
4. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

2. Delete Current Remote from Motor

Steps to unpair a specific remote:

1. Choose the channel connected to the motor using the remote control ">>" key.
2. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 5 times. The screen will show "5".
3. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Stop Key].
4. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

3. Delete All Remotes from Motor

Method 1:

Steps to unpair all remotes:

1. Choose the channel connected to the motor using the remote control ">>" key.
2. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 5 times. The screen will show "5".
3. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Down/Close Key].
4. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

Method 2:

Steps to unpair all remotes using the motor's Set Key:

1. [Long Press] the motor's [Set Key] until the motor makes a "Di" sound.
2. Release the motor within 5 seconds.
3. The motor will confirm successful deletion with a "Di" sound.

Motor Direction

When the control direction is opposite, the remote control can be used to switch the direction. You can repeat the operation to switch.

Steps to reverse motor direction:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 4 times. The screen will show "4".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Up/Open Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

Motor Point / Continuation Move Mode

When the point action is needed, perform the following operations. Repeating this operation can switch back to the continuation move mode.

Steps to activate point move mode:

1. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 4 times. The screen will show "4".
2. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Down/Close Key].
3. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

Lock or Open the Remote Channel

If you need to hide extra channels, you can perform the following operations. Repeat the operation to unlock the channel.

Steps to lock or unlock a channel:

1. Press the remote control "<" or ">>" key to choose the channel you want to lock.
2. Press the remote control's [Set Key] 4 times. The screen will show "4".
3. Within 3 seconds, press the remote control's [Stop Key].
4. The motor will confirm successful setting with a "Di" sound.

Lock the channel: Perform this operation when you have chosen the channel you want to lock.

Open the channel: Perform this operation on any channel.

(Repeat this operation for lock or open the channel.)

Motor Pair to APP

Note: A Matter-certified ecosystem smart home app is required.

1. Reset Motor

Press the motor's [Set Key] 3 times. The motor makes a "Di" sound. Then, press the motor's [Set Key] 1 time. The motor makes another "Di" sound, entering the network configuration state.

2. Turn on WiFi on your phone.

3. Open your selected smart home app and scan the Matter QR code on the motor.

4. Follow the instructions. (The Apple Home App is as follows)

Add Accessory: Tap "Add Accessory".

Scan QR Code: Scan the product QR code or enter the code manually.

Discover Device: Click on the discovered device hardware.

Connecting: The app will show "Connecting to Blinds". This may take a few minutes.

Add Device: When connected, click "Add".

Set Location: Select the location as needed (e.g., "Bedroom").

Set Name: Change the name as needed (e.g., "Zemismart Smart Electric Curtain").

Complete Setup: Tap "Add complete".

Note: Setup processes may vary between ecosystems.
