Installation Instructions
Step 1: Mark and Drill Mounting Holes
Using the wedge base (Item 1) as a guide, mark and drill the 4 holes in the desired mounting location. Consider the cable routing when deciding the position. It is recommended that the low end of the wedge faces forward (FWD).
Diagram Description: A top-down view of the Seaview SVSLWB wedge base is shown, indicating dimensions of 9.20 inches and 5.61 inches. An arrow clearly labels the "FWD" (forward) direction.
Step 2: Bolt Wedge Base
Secure the wedge base to the mounting surface using hardware items 4 (Nylon Washer) and 5 (SS Washer), along with appropriate bolts and nyloc nuts (or similar). Ensure the correct mounting bolts and hardware are used, considering varying mounting surface types and thicknesses.
Diagram Description: An isometric view illustrates the Seaview SVSLWB wedge base being attached to a flat "Mounting Surface". Hardware items 4 (Nylon Washer) and 5 (SS Washer) are shown in place, securing the base.
Step 3: Route Antenna Cable
Route the antenna cable through the provided cable seal (BOM Item 3). The holes in the wedge base are tapped to receive the cable seal. All necessary cable seal hardware is included. For more specific cable seal instructions, refer to the provided link.
Diagram Description: An exploded view shows the cable seal (Item 3) assembly. It details how the cable seal fits into the wedge base and illustrates the two types of screws used: longer screws (M4x16mm) for the cap and shorter screws (M4x8mm) for threading into the wedge base.
Step 4A: Install Starlink Flat HP on SVSLWB (Skip if using SRM200WB8)
This step is for installing the Starlink Flat HP antenna on the Seaview SVSLWB wedge base. If you are using the Seaview SRM200WB8 kit, skip to Step 4B.
Line up the Starlink Flat HP antenna with the wedge mounting holes. Ensure washers (BOM items 4 & 5) are in place while the antenna rests on the wedge. Use the Starlink-provided hardware to secure the antenna to the wedge base if sufficient thread engagement is achieved. If Starlink hardware is not provided, use 1/4"-20 bolts that allow 0.3" -0.5" thread engagement, as recommended by Starlink.
Diagram Description: An isometric view depicts the Starlink Flat HP antenna positioned on the Seaview SVSLWB wedge base. "DETAIL A" highlights the washers (Items 4 and 5) used to secure the antenna to the base. The diagram indicates "Antenna not included".
Step 4B: Install SRM200WB8 Kit Components for Starlink Mounting
Step 4B: Attach Short End Cap
Using the cone washers (Item 10 from page 3) and the countersunk screws (Item 6 from page 3), install the short end cap onto the forward (fwd) side of the SRM200WB8 plate. A small triangle on the plate indicates the forward direction, as shown in Detail D.
Diagram Description: An isometric view shows the SRM200WB8 plate. The short end cap is being attached to the plate using hardware items 10 (cone washer) and 6 (countersunk screw). "DETAIL D" points to the forward direction indicator on the plate.
Step 4B.1: Secure Plate to Wedge Base
With the short end cap secured to the plate, and the wedge base installed (from Step 3, page 8), align the plate slots with the wedge base mounting holes and slots. Bolt the plate down to the wedge base using hardware items 9 (1/4"-20 Hex Head Screw), 5 (SS Washer), 8 (Nylon Shoulder Bushing), 4 (Nylon Washer), and 7 (1/4"-20 Nyloc Nut), as shown in Detail E. The same hardware configuration shown in Detail E is used for the other three slot/bolt locations.
Diagram Description: An isometric view illustrates the SRM200WB8 plate assembly being attached to the Seaview SVSLWB wedge base. "DETAIL E" highlights the specific hardware items (9, 5, 8, 4, 7) used for securing the plate to the base at one of the mounting points.
Step 4B.2: Attach Antenna
Please REMOVE the kickstand from the Gen 3 antenna. Then, slide the antenna into the forward end cap of the assembly. Bolt the tall end cap onto the aft side using hardware items 10 (Cone Washer) and 6 (Countersunk Screw).
Diagram Description: An isometric view shows the Starlink antenna being slid into the forward end cap of the mounted assembly. The tall end cap is then shown being attached to the aft side using hardware items 10 and 6.
Step 4B.3: Final Assembly View
Diagram Description: A final isometric view shows the complete assembly with the Starlink antenna mounted securely on the Seaview wedge base using the SRM200WB8 kit components. The diagram indicates "Antenna not included".
