DocumentDocumentWATTSHOP ANEMOI BASEBAR UNDERSTANDING THE DIMENSIONS REQUIRED This document is a detailed breakdown of the required dimensions for the Anemoi Geometry Tool to ensure you match your current position to your new Anemoi basebar. Please note do not include your shifters/bar end plugs in any of these dimensions, measure from the end of the extension. If your supplied dimensions fall outside of the standard range this would indicate you require a custom component. Custom components are specific to you/bike and can be manufactured at an additional cost. A UCI LEGAL "Yes" or "No" dropdown for whether you require your position to comply with UCI regulations. This will have a bearing upon your reach and riser angle. B LATERAL BOLT HOLE CENTRES The Anemoi basebar lateral centres are 105mm. C FORE-AFT BOLT HOLE CENTRES The Anemoi basebar riser bolt holes fore-aft is 40mm. D BOTTOM BRACKET TO STEERER (REACH) We use the bottom bracket as a reference point to align the extensions and basebar to the frame. This coupled with dimension E will indicate your reach. From the centre of your bottom bracket measured horizontally (not point to point) to the centre of your steerer. This is usually your steerer cap bolt. Please note whilst frame reach may be very similar, manufacturers don't specify where the measurement is taken to and due to the steerer angle it is best to measure this dimension for yourself. The image below illustrates the dimension we require (dimension D). You can see this is measured horizontally. This can be quite an awkward dimension to take, the easiest way to measure this is to put the rear wheel of your bike against a vertical wall. Measure from the centre of the bottom bracket to the wall and from the centre of the steerer to the wall. Steerer to the wall BB to the wall = dimension D. This will be in the region of 330-450mm. E BOTTOM BRACKET TO EXTENSION TIP (REACH) This is tied in with dimension D, allowing us to align the extensions at the correct reach for your bike. From the centre of your bottom bracket measured horizontally (not point to point) to your extension tip. Please note do not include any shifters or bar end plugs in this dimension. The same principle can be applied as per dimension D, again remembering this dimension is measured horizontally. Place the rear wheel of your bike up against the wall. Measure from the bottom bracket to the wall then measure from the extension tip to the wall. Extension tip to the wall BB to wall = dimension E. This is likely to be in the region of 730-850mm. F OVERALL ARM REST WIDTH AT THE WIDEST POINT Measurement from the left outside edge of your left arm rest to the right outside edge of your right arm rest, taken at the widest point. Taken at the widest point because you may have your arm rests angled in. G TOP OF RISER STACK TO THE BOTTOM OF HAND This dimension allows us to ascertain what degree you currently run your extensions at and whether our adjustable angled riser will be compatible with your set up. It is important this dimension is taken from the top of your riser stack but below your extension clamp block. This is illustrated in the image below. Again, this can be an awkward dimension to take. To begin with, hold the handgrip as you would normally and mark the extension at the point level with the underside of your hand. You can do this by wrapping a piece of tape around the extension pole. It's easier now to measure from this mark to the floor and then from the top of the riser stack to the floor. Underside of handgrip to the floor top of the stack to the floor = dimension G. Please note our standard pole and ergo handgrips are 5cm long. Please ensure you are comfortable with this dimension. If a longer handgrip or a different profile is required you may wish to take advantage of our custom handgrip design service. H HANDGRIP STYLE We offer numerous handgrip styles. Each has its own advantages and each affects the reach of the extensions. Standard pole 5cm long 22.2mm industry standard pole. Accepts all normal style shifting systems. With the extensions at 15 degrees, the pole is at a 50 degree angle to the horizontal and provides a 7.5 degree inward tilt. Ergo (track) Ergo grip that offers a substantial and comfortable handgrip. Not applicable with any shifting system so limited to use on track only. 7.5 degree toe in and 5cm in length. Ergo (Di2 R9150) Ergo base grip with a specific cut out for the Shimano R9150 satellite climbing shifters. Ergo (Blips) Ergo base grip with a specific cut out for SRAM Blip shifters. New handgrip styles are constantly being added to this list. Please check out our website for a complete list of the current offerings. Please note we also offer a custom handgrip design service on request. I BOTTOM BRACKET TO STEERER (STACK) We use the bottom bracket as a reference point to align the extensions and basebar to the frame. This coupled with dimension J and K will indicate your stack to the relevant points identified. From the centre of your bottom bracket measured vertically (not point to point) to the centre of your steerer. This is usually your steerer cap bolt. Please note whilst frame stack may be very similar, manufacturers don't specify where the measurement is taken to and due to the steerer angle it is best to measure this dimension for yourself. The image below illustrates the dimension we require (dimension I). You can see this is measured vertically. This can be quite an awkward dimension to take, the easiest way, with your bike upright, is to measure from the centre of the bottom bracket to the floor and from the centre of the steerer to the floor. Steerer to the floor BB to the floor = dimension I. This will be in the region of 450-580mm. J BOTTOM BRACKET TO EXTENSION TIP (STACK) This is tied in with dimension I, allowing us to align the extensions at the correct stack for your bike. From the centre of your bottom bracket measured vertically (not point to point) to your extension tip. Please note do not include any shifters or bar end plugs in this dimension. The same principle can be applied as per dimension I, again remembering this dimension is measured vertically. With your bike upright, measure from the bottom bracket to the floor then measure from the extension tip to the floor. Extension tip to the floor BB to floor = dimension J. K BOTTOM BRACKET TO REAR EDGE OF ARMREST (STACK) This is tied in with dimension I, allowing us to align the extensions at the correct stack for your bike. From the centre of your bottom bracket measured vertically (not point to point) to the rear edge of your armrest. The same principle can be applied as per dimension I, again remembering this dimension is measured vertically. With your bike upright, measure from the bottom bracket to the floor then measure from the rear edge of your armrest to the floor. Rear edge of armrest to the floor BB to floor = dimension K. UCI QUERIES You do not necessarily need to complete these dropdowns but if you are riding under UCI regulations, we would encourage you to answer "Yes". The tool will then highlight any of your dimensions that fall outside of UCI compliance. UNDERSTANDING THE OUTPUT RISER ANGLE/STEM SIZE The table will update depending on your input dimensions and handgrip selection. It will present all the minimum and maximum reach possibilities for each stem size and at each angle (at 5-degree increments). It is important to remember that different handgrips offer different reaches. RISER ANGLE/STACK HEIGHT The table will update depending on your input dimensions. It will present all the minimum and maximum stack possibilities for each riser angle (at 5-degree increments). We have provided stack measurements to both the extension tip and the rear edge of the armrest. What the highlighted colours mean: GREEN the option/s that work with your input dimensions. YELLOW illustrates when additional riser stack spacers are required to match your requirement. RED if the red boxes appear this means you have an aspect that either falls outside of UCI legality (if you have input into those boxes) or outside of the fit window of the cockpit.
