Installation Instructions
This guide provides instructions for installing the Stirling 504484 Trailer Rack Kit onto various trailer sizes.
General Assembly Steps
- Assemble p/n 504483 Trailer Rack Bar to p/n 504482 Trailer Rack Mounting Bracket using 5/16x2” Carriage Bolts (501077) and nuts (501083).
- Align the assembled bar and mount to the trailer. Mark the mounting holes and drill for a 5/16" bolt (501010).
- Secure the assembly to the trailer using the 5/16”x ¼” carriage bolts (501010) and nuts (501083).
Note on Mounting Bracket Holes:
- For 4x6 ft trailers: Use holes 1 & 3 on the mounting bracket for the driver and passenger sides.
- For 4x7 ft trailers: Use holes 2 & 4 on the mounting bracket for the driver and passenger sides.
- For 5x7 ft / 5x10 ft trailers: Use holes 2 & 4 on the mounting bracket for the driver and passenger sides.
Detailed Installation Notes:
When securing the bracket to the trailer frame, ensure the 5/16 x 2 Carriage Bolt and 5/16 nuts are used for the initial bracket-to-bar connection. For mounting the assembled rack to the trailer, mark and drill holes in the trailer's side channel. Secure this connection using 5/16x3/4" Carriage Bolts and 5/16" Nuts.
