This guide provides essential steps for the quick installation of your Argox CP-EX and CX Series barcode printers.

Notes:

1. "Exceeding 0.1 wt %" and "exceeding 0.01 wt %" indicate that the percentage content of the restricted substance exceeds the reference percentage value.
2. "○" indicates that the percentage content of the restricted substance does not exceed the reference percentage value.
3. "－" indicates that the restricted substance corresponds to an exemption.

Installation Steps: Loading Media and Ribbon

Follow these steps to load media (labels/paper) and ribbon into your printer.

Diagram 1: Media Loading Steps

Open the printer top cover.
Place the media roll onto the media hanger.
Thread the media under the print head assembly.
Attach the leading edge of the media to the media take-up spindle.
Open the ribbon cover (if applicable).
Place the ribbon supply spindle onto the ribbon holder.
Thread the ribbon under the print head assembly.
Attach the leading edge of the ribbon to the ribbon take-up spindle.

Printer Components and Connections

Identify the main parts and external connections of your printer.

Printer Components (Diagram A)

1. Top Cover: The main housing of the printer.
2. Power Indicator: LED light indicating the printer's power status.
3. Ready Indicator: LED light indicating the printer is ready to operate.
4. Feed Button: Button to advance media.
5. Power Switch: Main switch to turn the printer on or off (O = Off, I = On).

External Connections (Diagram B)

1. Ethernet: Network port for wired connectivity.
2. Serial Port (RS232-C): For serial communication.
3. USB Type A: Standard USB port for connecting devices.
4. USB Type B: USB port for connecting to a host computer.
5. Power Jack: Connector for the power adapter.

Media and Ribbon Handling

Diagram C:
1. Ribbon Pick-up Holder: Holds the used ribbon spool.
2. Media Hanger: Supports the incoming media roll.

1. Ribbon Supply Holder: Holds the new ribbon spool.
2. Platen Roller: Supports the media and ribbon during printing.
3. Thermal Print Head: Heats to transfer ink from the ribbon to the media.
4. Media Guide: Helps align the media correctly.
