Friendly Reminder
- For video recording, use Class 10 or higher memory cards. Other types may cause unexpected results.
- If the pan/tilt function is not working correctly, calibrate the camera to get the correct position (refer to step 8).
- For better performance, enable the video hardware acceleration function (Android only).

Note: Press and hold the 'Reset' button for 5 seconds to restore factory default settings.
Setup the Camera
1. App Download
Download and install the 'OMGuard HD' app on your device from the App Store or Google Play.
Powering Up the Camera
Connect the power wires to the adapter. Wait for the RED LED indicator to become steady. The LED should flash RED during this process.
Connection Methods
3a. Wireless Connection
- In your smart device's Wi-Fi settings, select the Wi-Fi router with the prefix 'HD-xxxxxx' (where xxxxxx is the camera ID). Enter the default password: 12345678.
- Launch the app and tap the '+' icon to add the camera.
- Tap the QR code icon and scan the QR code on the back of the camera to get the DID information. Alternatively, tap 'Search' to locate the camera.
- Enter the default password: 123456.
- Tap 'Save' when done.
- The app will prompt you to change the default password to a private password.
3b. Wired Connection
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to your Wi-Fi router.
- Connect the camera's Ethernet cable to the RJ45 connector and power on the camera with the adapter.
- Launch the app and tap 'Search' to locate the camera.
- Enter the default password: 12345678 and save the settings.
- The app will prompt you to change the default password to a private password.
Note: In Soft AP mode, the RED LED flashes once long, followed by two short flashes. In normal mode, the LED flashes RED.
Wi-Fi Setting
- Tap the settings icon, then the advanced settings icon.
- Enter the default password: 12345678.
- Select your Wi-Fi router and enter its password.
- The camera will go offline for about 40 seconds to reboot for Wi-Fi connection. When the camera connects to the Wi-Fi router correctly, the RED LED will stay ON.
- In your smart device's Wi-Fi settings, ensure the Wi-Fi router you are connecting to is the same as the camera's. If not, manually assign it.
App Introduction

Event Playback
- Tap the event list icon.
- Select the time interval for the event list.
- Select the file you want to playback.
- To store files to your mobile device, tap the download icon (best done on a Wi-Fi network due to large file sizes).
Enable Video Hardware Acceleration (For Android)
- In the camera list, tap the settings icon.
- Click the checkbox to enable video hardware acceleration.
Camera Installation
- Drill mounting holes using the alignment paper.
- Insert 4 screw anchors into the wall.
- Insert 2 screws into the anchors, leaving an 8-10 mm space. Hang the camera on these 2 screws.
- Fasten the 4 screws using the hex key.
Note: Install the memory card before mounting the camera if you prefer local storage.
