- ⚠️ For correct installation, it is recommended to wrap cable conduits with adhesive tape of the following characteristics: flexible PVC film with acrylic adhesive, compliant with DIN EN 60454, flame retardant, high temperature resistance, usable at low temperatures.
2. Operation
The induction cooking system operates on the principle of magnetic induction, transferring energy directly from the generator to the pot.
Advantages: Compared to electric hobs, induction hobs are:
- Safer: Lower surface temperature.
- Faster: Shorter cooking times.
- More Precise: The hob responds instantly to commands.
- More Efficient: 90% of absorbed energy is converted into heat. Heat transfer stops immediately when a pot is removed, preventing unnecessary loss.
Cookware for Preparation:
- Important: Use only cookware displaying the specified symbol.
- To avoid irreversible damage to the surface, do not use:
- Cookware with uneven bases.
- Metal cookware with enamelled bases.
- Cookware with rough bases that could scratch the hob surface.
- Never place hot pots or pans on the hob's control panel.
Cookware Suitability Check:
- Not all cookware suitable for induction is equally effective due to their bases.
- When purchasing cookware, ensure:
- The base is made entirely of ferromagnetic material. Otherwise, heat distribution and efficiency will be reduced, and surface temperatures may be inadequate for cooking. (Diagram shows a magnet being tested against a pot base: ✅ for magnetic, ❌ for non-magnetic).
- The base does not contain aluminum, as the cookware may not heat up or be recognized by the induction elements. (Diagram shows a pot with an aluminum base: ❌).
- The base is not uneven or rough, as this reduces contact area, lowering efficiency and impairing cooking. (Diagram shows pots with uneven bases: ❌).
Checking Your Existing Cookware:
- A simple magnet can test if the cookware material is magnetic. If the magnet does not adhere, the cookware is not suitable. The previous guidelines also apply.
Recommended Pot Diameter:
- IMPORTANT: If pot dimensions are incorrect, the heating zones may not activate. Refer to the illustrated section of this manual for minimum pot diameters for each zone.
- Note: To maintain cooking efficiency and product quality, DO NOT use induction adapters.
Energy Saving Tips:
- Use pots and pans with a base diameter matching the heating zone.
- Use only pots and pans with flat bases.
- Cover pots with lids whenever possible during cooking.
- To reduce cooking time, cook vegetables, potatoes, etc., with minimal water.
- Use a pressure cooker, which further reduces energy consumption and cooking time.
- Place the pot in the center of the designated heating zone on the hob.
Control Panel Operation:
Control Panel Layouts:

3. Installation Diagrams and Dimensions
General Installation Overview:
- The hob requires specific clearances from surrounding cabinets and walls for proper ventilation and safety.
- Dimensions: The hob has a width of 590mm and a depth of 520mm. The glass thickness is 5.5mm.
- Cutout Dimensions: The recommended cutout size is 560mm wide by 480mm deep.
- Clearances: Maintain at least 50mm clearance from the front edge of the worktop, 50mm from the sides, and a minimum of 500mm from overhead cabinets or hoods.
- Installation Methods (M1, M2): These diagrams illustrate preparing the countertop cutout and the hob's frame. Method M2 may involve a specific edge profile and a recess depth of 6.5mm with a corner radius of R6mm.
- Under-Counter Installation: Diagrams show how the hob fits into cabinetry, including placement relative to ovens or drawers. Ensure adequate space for ventilation and access to electrical connections.
- Securing the Hob: The hob is secured using screws and a sealing strip. Specific screw types (L2 x 4mm, L2 x 10mm) are indicated.
Electrical Connection:
- Wiring Diagrams: The manual provides diagrams for connecting the hob to different power supplies: 380-415V 3-phase (3N) and 220-240V single-phase (1N).
- Terminal Block: Shows the terminal block where power cables are connected.
- Cable Management: Diagrams illustrate routing cables through appropriate grommets (A for larger cables Ø 11-14.5 mm, B for smaller cables Ø 7-9 mm) and securing the terminal block cover. Ensure a secure 'click' when closing.
Final Installation Steps:
- Apply the provided sealing tape around the hob frame to create a seal with the countertop.
- Carefully place the hob into the prepared cutout.
- Secure the hob using the provided clips or sealant, as indicated by the cartridge symbol (s).
Cookware Placement and Efficiency:
- Suitability Test: Use a magnet to check if cookware is induction-compatible (magnetic base).
- Correct Placement: Pots should be centered on the heating zones for optimal efficiency.
- Efficiency: Using cookware with a base diameter that closely matches the heating zone diameter maximizes energy efficiency (approximately 40% loss if the pot is significantly smaller than the zone).
4. Maintenance
General Cleaning Precautions:
- Ensure heating zones are switched off and the residual heat indicator is off before cleaning.
- Cleaning the Induction Hob:
- Clean the hob after every use.
- Do not use abrasive sponges, metal scourers, or harsh chemical cleaners (e.g., oven cleaners, stain removers).
- DO NOT USE STEAM CLEANERS.
- After the hob has cooled, wipe away food residues and stains.
- Immediately remove spills of sugar or very sweet products, as they can damage the hob.
- Salt, sugar, and sand can scratch the glass surface.
- Use a soft cloth, paper towels, or specialized hob cleaning products, following their instructions.
5. Service
If an error occurs, try disconnecting the hob from the power supply for a few seconds and then reconnecting it. If the error persists, contact authorized technical service.
