The Lille Pasteur Institute is a research foundation established in 1894. The Lille Pasteur Institute is part of the international network of Pasteur Institutes. What Are Our Air Purifiers Made Of?

Daikin air purifiers feature a complete four-stage filtration system, ensuring the air is always as clean as possible. The first stage is a pre-filter, which captures and removes larger particles such as dust, pet hair, and lint. The second stage is the electrostatic HEPA filter, which captures and removes smaller particles such as allergens, dust mites, and smoke. The third stage is the deodorizing filter, which helps reduce odors in the air. And finally, the fourth stage is the humidifying filter, which increases the air's moisture content. With our air purifiers, you can enjoy the benefits of clean, fresh air with minimal maintenance.

1. Stage 1: Pre-filter

   An important part of our air purifiers, the pre-filter captures and removes larger particles such as dust, pet hair, and lint. This pre-filter helps reduce the amount of contaminants reaching the main filter, thereby extending the air purifier's lifespan and enhancing its overall performance.

2. Stage 2: Daikin HEPA Filter

   A high-performance electrostatic HEPA filter. This HEPA filter unit is a high-performance particle filter system designed to capture the finest dust particles. According to studies, it removes 99% of particles between 0.1 µm and 2.5 µm.

   STEP 1: The filter effectively collects dust through electrostatic forces. Unlike non-electrostatic HEPA filters, which collect particles based solely on mesh fineness, this filter does not clog easily.

   STEP 2: This allows a larger volume of air to pass through the filter.

   RESULT: THE FILTER CAN PURIFY A LARGER VOLUME OF AIR!

3. Stage 3: Deodorizing Filter

   Our air purifiers also include a powerful deodorizing filter that helps reduce odors in the air. This filter is designed to capture and neutralize odors from cooking, smoking, pets, and other sources.

4. Stage 4: Humidifying Filter

   Our air purifiers also include a built-in humidifying filter that helps increase the air's moisture content. This filter prevents the air from becoming too dry, which can cause problems such as static electricity and respiratory issues.

What Does a 10-Year Filter Lifespan Mean?

Daikin air purifiers stand out from the rest with their superior filters, which last much longer than the market standard, requiring no filter replacement for 10 years. This saves costs and allows you to use the unit with peace of mind for 10 years.

The Allergy UK approval seal ensures that the product is effective at capturing small particles, including allergens, bacteria, and viruses.

The product/service is certified with allergy-friendly quality by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation.

An independent advisory board of 15 leading international scientists and experts has developed the ECARF criteria for evaluating different product groups. These include threshold values and exclusion criteria that make an allergic reaction very unlikely. The criteria are regularly updated to reflect the latest scientific knowledge.

A product receives the Seal if it proves through various tests and studies that it meets the prescribed criteria. Daikin air purifiers have passed these tests and are considered allergy-friendly. This does not apply to air purifiers with a humidifying function.

Based on studies conducted at the Lille Pasteur Institute, Daikin air purifiers filter out over 99.98% of the HCoV-229E human coronavirus in just 2.5 minutes.* This virus belongs to the same family of viruses as SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

The units were rated 99.93% effective at filtering the H1N1 virus in 2.5 minutes.* The H1N1 virus causes common influenza. This means that Daikin air purifiers provide another tool in the fight against respiratory diseases. Our compact, ready-to-use air purifiers, combined with a high-performance electrostatic HEPA filter, achieve excellent efficiency, trapping viruses, after which Daikin's patented Flash Streamer technology removes the viruses, significantly contributing to reducing the risk of transmission of respiratory viruses.
