*Make sure keyboard is fully charged when you connect it to your iPad. Charging 2-3 hours first when you newly get it is advised.
*The keyboard is not waterproof. Please kindly pay attention to get away the keyboard from the water.
Make sure you get the right model keyboard
1. Find your iPad model number in settings:
- Settings > General > About
- Tap on the model number and a model number in the form of AXXXX will appear.
2. Find your iPad model number AXXXX on the back of your iPad.

Wireless Connection
1. Make sure your iPad iOS system is up to 13.2.2 or above & iPad Assistive Touch toggle function is on.
(Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > AssistiveTouch On)
2. Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the iPad keyboard. Indicators will flash once, and the keyboard backlight will turn on. The backlight will turn off automatically later.
The on/off button of the 12.9-inch keyboard is on the right side of the gusset.
3. Press the pair button for 3 seconds. The blue indicator will flash, showing the keyboard is in pairing mode for 3 minutes.
For 12.9-inch keyboard, you need to press "fn" and "C" together. The blue wireless indicator will flash, showing the keyboard is on pairing mode.
4. Turn on your iPad Bluetooth, and search for "ipad keyboard." on the list, then tap it for connection.
5. Once the connection succeeds, the blue wireless indicator won't flash and stays on.
Backlight Instruction
Press "fn" + [space bar] to turn on the backlight. Press them again to increase the brightness. Press the third time to maximize the brightness, and the fourth time to turn off the backlight. There are three brightness levels in total.
Press "fn" + [rainbow icon] to change different rainbow colors. There are various rainbow colors for you to choose.
Press "fn" + "Q" to turn on the breathing backlight; the backlight will flash at a rate. By pressing "fn" + "W", you can change the rate of breathing backlight.
By the way, pressing "fn" + "Q" also can turn on the backlight, and pressing them again will turn the backlight off.
NOTICE:
1. Backlight will automatically turn off if there is no movement on the keyboard for over 5 seconds, while it will light up again when you press any key.
2. Blue backlight will turn on when you turn on the iPad keyboard, and it will turn off automatically within 1 minute. This is a normal situation. Do not worry about that.
VERY IMPORTANT: Keyboard will be in sleep mode if it doesn't work for over 10 minutes. In sleep mode, it will cut the connection between your iPad. The keyboard will wake up to back into work mode and connect to your iPad again when you press any key.
Touchpad Instruction
Be sure that the touchpad can be used on your iPad as per the following steps:
- You need to complete the following settings: Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > AssistiveTouch On
- Make sure your iPad Software Version is up to 13.2.2 or above.
- Choose the right "Keyboard" on your iPad: General > Keyboard > Keyboards > English (US) > QWERTY
Notice: The third setting can only be set after the keyboard connects to your iPad successfully.
You can adjust the cursor tracking speed as one of the following settings:
- Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch
On the bottom of this page, you can adjust tracking sensitivity; the cursor will be slower when it's closer to tortoise, and be more sensitive when it's close to the rabbit.

You can adjust tracking sensitivity; the cursor will be slower when it's closer to tortoise and be more sensitive when it's close to the rabbit.
Notice: The second setting can only be set after the keyboard connects to your iPad successfully.
If you don't use the trackpad, you can press "fn" and "T" together to lock the trackpad. And you can press "fn" and "T" to unlock the trackpad.
Touchpad Gesture Description
One Finger
- Left-click (customizable): Tap with one finger to click.
- Slide the pointer: Move with one finger.
- Drag items: Tap twice with one finger, then hold and drag around.
- Slide over Switcher: Slide one finger down from the top edge of the screen to see all active apps.
- To see the Dock: While you're using an app, slide one finger up from the bottom edge of the screen until the Dock appears, then release.
Double Fingers
- Slide your fingers from right to left.
- Switch window to left: Swipe from left to right with both fingers.
- Right-click (customizable): Tap with two fingers to right-click.
- Roller scroll: Swipe with two fingers to the left/right or scroll up/down.
- Zoom in/out
Three Fingers
- Open the recently used window (Switch back to the previous application window): Three fingers moving down at the same time.
- Return to the home page: All three fingers moving up at the same time.
- Active window (left/right slide switch): Slide three fingers simultaneously left and right.

Special Key Instructions
- Switch input method by pressing Control + [icon for input method switching].
- Press "fn" + [brightness icon] to turn on/off or adjust the backlit brightness. Operating method: Press once to turn on the backlit, press again to increase the brightness, press the third time to maximize the brightness, press the fourth time to turn off the backlit.
- Press "fn" + [color icon] to switch the rainbow backlight and blue color.
- To type the character in the below grey area, hold shift and press the desired character.
- Some special short characters: Select All +A, Cut +X, Copy +C, Paste +V
- Breathing lamp mode: "fn" + "Q" turn on breathing backlights, "fn" + "W" change breathing backlight rate.
- Fn+PgUp=Home, Fn+PgDN=End (Only for 12.9").
Troubleshooting
Space bar problem-Space bar doesn't work or Insert period
Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Full Keyboard Access > Commands > (INTERACTION) Activate "Clear".
"." Shortcut is on in default status that double tapping the space bar will insert a period followed by a space; you can turn it off as below settings: General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard > "." Shortcut Off.
Caps Locks key changes language
General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard > Caps Lock Language Switch Off.
Question about charging
When red light flashes, it shows your keyboard is on low-battery status. You can find the Type-C charging cable in the package to charge for it. Red indicator will stay on when charging and turn green once fully charged.
NOTICE: If you don't use it normally, please charge the keyboard regularly, once in a month is advised by BABG.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard can't connect to your iPad when you first get it. Charge keyboard case first until it's fully charged. Please click "forget this device" to delete all the devices on your iPad Bluetooth list, then restart your iPad and keyboard. Connect them again. If the problem is still alive, please kindly contact the seller.
- Touchpad doesn't work. Make sure your iPad software version is 13.2.2 or above. Touchpad function just works with iPad 13.2.2 or above version. Make sure iPad AssistiveTouch is on. It is always off in default status. Please go to the iPad accessibility setting to check if the iPad AssistiveTouch is on. The touchpad can be locked by pressing "fn"+"T"; you can press them again to check whether touchpad is locked or not. More details, please kindly check previous "Touchpad instruction". If the problem is still alive, please kindly contact the seller.
- Some characters can't work. Turn the keyboard off first and turn it on again. If the problem is still alive, please kindly contact the seller.
- Why I press A but get a Z. Go to Settings > Keyboard > Keyboards > English (US) > QWERTY.
- Space bar doesn't work. You can try the following settings first: Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Full Keyboard Access > Commands/. Then change settings for "Space" from "activate" to "Clear". If it comes back, then you can also turn OFF Full Keyboard Access. Once it is cleared, the space bar would work fine. - If there is delay after you press keys, please kindly check one of iPad Settings as below: Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Slow Keys Off, Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Slow Keys On 0.1 Seconds.
- If there are repeated characters after you press certain key, please kindly check one of iPad Settings as below: Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Key Repeat On 0.1 Seconds, Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Key Repeat Off.
- Keyboard can't hold a charge. Please change another charging cable to test. If it is still not workable, maybe there is a problem with the battery. Please kindly contact the after-sale team at nokbabo@hotmail.com with your order ID for a new replacement. May it help you.
