Packaging Contents

The following items are included in your package. If you find anything missing, contact your system administrator.

  • IP Phone (ZIP 47GE): The main desk phone unit.
  • Handset: The telephone receiver unit.
  • Handset Cord: A coiled cable connecting the handset to the phone base.
  • Ethernet Cable: A standard network cable for connecting to your network.
  • Stand: A foldable support to position the phone on a desk.
  • Quick Start Guide: This document.
  • Power Adapter (Optional): A DC 5V power supply unit.
  • Wall Mount Bracket (Optional): An accessory for mounting the phone on a wall.

Note: Zultys recommends using only provided or approved accessories. The use of unapproved third-party accessories may result in reduced performance or damage.

Assembling the Phone

1. Attach the stand

Attach the stand to the back of the IP phone to prop it up on a desk. The stand has specific slots for secure attachment, tilting the phone for optimal screen viewing.

Note: The phone can also be wall-mounted using the optional ZIP 47GE wall mount bracket. Refer to the wall mount installation guide for additional information.

2. Connect the handset and optional wired headset

Connect the handset to the phone base using the coiled handset cord. If using a wired headset, connect it to the designated headset port on the back of the phone.

Note: Optional headsets may be purchased separately.

Connections and Startup

3. Connect optional USB device

If supplied, connect optional USB devices to the USB port on the side of the phone. These may include the ZIP 450M Expansion Module, a USB headset, or the EHS4x Electronic Hook Switch adapter for wireless headsets. Refer to related manuals for more details.

4. Connect the network and power

There are two primary options for wired network and power connections. Your system administrator will advise you on the best option for your setup.

a) Wired Network Options:

AC Power Option: Connect an Ethernet cable from your network (e.g., router or switch) to the 'Internet' port on the phone. Connect a second Ethernet cable from the phone's 'PC' port to your computer if you wish to share the network connection. Connect the provided DC 5V power adapter to the 'DC 5V' port on the phone.

PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option: Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled network switch (IEEE 802.3af compliant) to the 'Internet' port on the phone. This single cable provides both network connectivity and power. Connect a second Ethernet cable from the phone's 'PC' port to your computer if needed.

b) Wireless Network:

  1. Connect the Power Adapter as per the 'AC Power Option' above.
  2. Once the phone displays the idle screen, navigate to Menu > Basic > Wi-Fi.
  3. Press the Switch button to turn Wi-Fi On, then press Save. The phone will search for available networks.
  4. Scroll to Available Networks and press Enter or OK.
  5. Select the appropriate network as advised by your system administrator.
  6. Enter the network password in the Password field, then press Connect.

Startup Process

After the IP phone is connected to the network and powered on, it will automatically begin initializing and downloading its configuration information. If the phone fails to register with the IP phone system, contact your system administrator.
