1. Points to Note
- For safety and proper use, professional installation is recommended. Avoid private disassembly to prevent product damage or accidents.
- Arrange each wiring harness according to the manual, securing it to the vehicle's original wiring with cable ties. Ensure harnesses are not near fasteners or screw holes to prevent crushing by trim panels.
- Before installation, check the instrument panel function display, vehicle buttons, door/window operation, and for any scratches on interior/exterior surfaces. Report any issues promptly.
- During disassembly and assembly, avoid carrying metal ornaments or hard objects to prevent damage to paintwork, seats, and interior. Place removed trim components carefully to avoid scratches.
- All pictures are for reference only; vehicle models with different configurations may have different appearances, but installation methods remain the same.
- For wiring harness terminals not pre-inserted into connectors, insert them first to prevent short circuits after routing. Then, connect other plugs to the original connectors.

4. Installation Steps
Step 1: Remove Trim Panels
Remove the fuse box trim panel and door sill panels as indicated.
Visual: Panels around the fuse box and door sill removed.
Step 2: Remove Step Board
Remove the middle door step board.
Visual: Middle door step board removed.
Step 3: Remove Tailgate Trim
Remove the tailgate trim panels.
Visual: Tailgate interior trim panels removed.
Step 4: Remove Original Struts
Remove the original gas struts.
Visual: Original gas struts detached from the tailgate.
Step 5: Replace Left Body Bracket
Replace the original left body bracket with the new one provided.
Visual: New bracket installed on the left side of the tailgate opening.
Step 6: Replace Right Body Bracket
Replace the original right body bracket with the new one provided.
Visual: New bracket installed on the right side of the tailgate opening.
Step 7: Replace Tailgate Ball Studs
Replace the original tailgate ball studs with the new ones.
Visual: New ball studs installed on the tailgate.
Step 8: Install Electric Struts
Install the electric struts, ensuring 'L' (left) is on the left side and 'R' (right) is on the right side.

Step 9: Route Wiring Harnesses
Thread the wiring harnesses through the designated holes into the tailgate and route them as indicated.

Step 10: Plug Holes
Plug the holes on both sides securely.
Visual: Openings sealed after wiring is passed through.
Step 11: Install Power Latch
Remove the original tailgate latch and install the new power latch.
Visual: New power latch fitted in place of the original.
Step 12: Connect Lock Signal to Power Latch
Connect the plugs of the lock signal harness to the plugs of the power latch.
Visual: Wiring connector plugged into the power latch.
Step 13: Connect Lock Signal to Tailgate Switch
Connect the plugs of the lock signal harness to the plugs of the original tailgate switch.

Step 14: Route Power Harness
Route the power harness. If installing an added front switch, route its wiring harness in the same way.

Step 15: Thread Power Harness to Tailgate
Thread the power harness to the tailgate.

Step 16: Insert Power Harness Terminals
Insert the power harness terminals into the connector according to the diagram. For models with fewer than 10 wires, insert according to label or color.

Step 17: Grounding
Ground the system at the indicated position on the tailgate. Ensure wire points downward.

Step 18: Connect CAN Signal
Connect to the indicated CAN plug and its socket behind the fuse box.

Step 18-1: Alternative Connection (No CAN)
If not connecting CAN plugs, connect the orange wire of the power harness to the indicated blue wire.

Step 19: Identify Power Supply Fuse Slot
The fuse slot for power supply is indicated.

Step 20: Move Fuse to Fuse Tap
Move the fuse from the vehicle's fuse box to the provided fuse tap.

Step 21: Install Fuse Tap
Plug the fuse tap into the fuse box, paying attention to the correct direction.

Optional: Install Front Switch
Find an appropriate position in the driver's area, drill a 21mm hole, and install the added front switch.
Visual: Hole drilled in the dashboard/trim for the new switch.
Step 22: Secure ECU
Secure the ECU at the indicated position on the tailgate.
Visual: ECU unit mounted in the tailgate area.
Step 23: Connect Wiring to ECU
Insert the left and right strut wiring harnesses (①, ②), lock signal harness (③), and power harness (④) into the ECU in sequence.

Step 24: System Initialization & Test
Press the added tailgate switch to close the tailgate once. The system completes initialization. Test each function of the electric tailgate.

Step 25: Final Assembly
Install the added tailgate switch and reinstall all trim panels.
Visual: Tailgate switch installed, interior panels put back.
5. System Initialization Method
- Press the added tailgate switch button to make the tailgate close automatically.
- Press the switch button outside the tailgate to open the tailgate; it will emit a long "beep" sound.
- The system initialization is complete.
6. Instructions for the Electric Tailgate
Methods to Open and Close the Tailgate:
- Press and hold the unlock button on the remote key.
- Press the unlock button at the driver's area 3 times.
- Press the original tailgate switch button.
- Press the added tailgate switch button to close.
- Press the added front switch button: press and hold for 4 seconds to open, and press once to close.
Method to Pause the Tailgate:
- During tailgate operation, press any of the open/close/pause buttons. The tailgate will pause. Press again to reverse its movement.
7. Instructions for the Added Tailgate Switch
Closing Speed Acceleration (5 Settings)
Press and hold the switch button until the first short beep. Release the button; a short beep confirms the setting. Repeat to increase the setting.
Opening Speed Acceleration (5 Settings)
Press and hold the switch button until the second short beep. Release the button; two short beeps confirm the setting. Repeat to increase the setting.
Voice Module Settings
Press and hold the switch button until the third short beep. Release the button; three short beeps indicate the voice module has entered configuration mode (refer to the voice module operation manual for details).
Block Voice Module
Press and hold the switch button until the fourth beep. Release the button; three sets of four beeps indicate the voice module is blocked.
Height Setting
Press and hold the switch button until the fifth short beep. Release the button; a long beep confirms the height setting has taken effect.
Switch Between Quick/Slow Press (Remote Key)
Press and hold the switch button until the sixth short beep. Release the button; a long beep and a short beep confirm the switch has taken effect.
Switch Between Pressing Unlock Button Twice/Three Times
Press and hold the switch button until the seventh short beep. Release the button; a long beep and two short beeps confirm the switch has taken effect.
Braking Force Increase (Five Settings)
Press and hold the switch button until the eighth short beep. Release the button; a long beep and three short beeps confirm the setting. Repeat to increase the setting.
Restore to Factory Settings
Press and hold the switch button until the ninth short beep. Release the button; a long beep and four short beeps confirm the factory settings have been restored.
8. Meanings of the Buzzer Sound
- "Beep" once: Receiving an open/close or pause signal; the tailgate will immediately open/close or pause.
- "Beep" twice: The tailgate has been fully opened or closed.
- "Beep" three times: Excessive resistance during opening or closing; the intelligent anti-pinch feature has been activated.
