This Use & Care Guide provides general operating instructions. Use the appliance only as instructed. Follow these important first steps before starting the unit.

Cleaning your Refrigerator

IMPORTANT

Remove tape and glue residue from surfaces before turning the refrigerator on. Use a small amount of liquid dish soap, rinse with warm water, and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use sharp instruments, rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the surface.

After removing all packaging materials, clean the inside of your refrigerator before use. Refer to the CARE AND CLEANING section.

Moving your Refrigerator

IMPORTANT

Your refrigerator is heavy. When moving it for cleaning or service, raise the anti-tip bracket. Cover the floor with cardboard or hardboard to avoid damage. Always pull the refrigerator straight out; do not wiggle or "walk" it, as this could damage the floor.

Location

  • Choose a location near a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord or adapter plug.
  • If possible, place the refrigerator out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources like ranges or dishwashers.
  • The refrigerator must be installed on a level, strong floor capable of supporting a fully loaded unit.
  • Consider water supply availability for models with an automatic ice maker. If not connecting water, turn the ice maker off.

CAUTION: Do not install the refrigerator where temperatures drop below 50°F (10°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C), as the compressor may not maintain proper temperatures. Do not block the toe grille on the lower front; sufficient air circulation is essential.
