Smart Translator Device User Manual
This document provides a comprehensive guide to operating and utilizing the Smart Translator Device.
Device Overview
The Smart Translator Device features a touchscreen interface and several physical buttons for operation.
Key Components:
- Power Button: Located on the left side for powering on/off and screen lock/wake.
- A Key & B Key: Used for voice input, corresponding to different languages displayed on the screen.
- Type-C Port: For charging and data connection.
- Volume +/-: To adjust audio volume.
- Return Button: To navigate back to the previous screen.
Status Bar:
The top of the device screen displays status information such as WIFI network status, battery level, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Main Functions
Speech Recognition:
Long press the A or B key to activate voice recognition. The device translates spoken language into the selected target language with optional voice broadcasting. Translation records are displayed and can be scrolled through. Offline translation is automatically used when no network is available.
Quick Chat Translation:
Supports scanning QR codes for group chats (up to 3000 participants) in browsers or chat applications. Users can select desired languages within the chat interface. Re-scanning is required after exiting.
Photo Translation:
Allows translation of text within images. Users select source and target languages, focus the camera on the text, and the translation appears after recognition. The recognition range can be adjusted.
Simultaneous Interpretation:
Supports real-time translation between languages of various countries and regions. Usage is similar to online translation.
Offline Translation:
Requires downloading offline language packs when a network is available. Supports real-time translation between specified languages, with duration limits for recordings.
Intelligent Recording:
Records audio for up to 60 minutes. Text from recordings can be saved and accessed via a 'Recording Translation' folder on a computer. Users can select target languages for translation and view original/translated text.
Remote Translation:
Enables ultra-fast AI translation within 1 minute, requiring network access. Supports scanning codes from browsers/chat apps for synchronous content display and data editing on mobile devices.
Input Translation:
Allows text input for translation. Supports the Google Input Method and downloading of required voice keyboards.
Practical Tools:
Includes features like Follow Reading, Bookmarking, CHATGPT (requires separate payment), AI Assistant (China region only), exchange rate conversion, unit conversion, offline package management, calculator, and stopwatch.
Settings
- Broadcast Mode: Choose between automatic or manual voice broadcasting of translations.
- System Language: Select the device's operating language.
- Display: Configure screen sleep time (30s, 1 min, 3 mins, never).
- Clear Data: Resets the device to its original state, deleting user data.
- Bluetooth: Pair and connect Bluetooth devices.
- WIFI Settings: Configure the device's Wi-Fi connection.
- Date and Time: Set the date and time automatically or manually.
- About Device: View device name, version number, and copyright information.
Device Operation
Powering On/Off:
Power On: Long press the power button until the startup screen appears. Allow time for initialization.
Shutdown: Long press the power button and select the shutdown option.
Screen On/Off:
Manual: Short press the power button to turn the screen off or on.
Automatic: The screen turns off automatically after a set period of inactivity.
Device Charging:
Connect the device to a charger via the Type-C port. A lightning symbol on the battery icon indicates charging. The device may shut down if the battery is critically low (below 3.4V).
Wireless Network Environment
Turn on the wireless network switch, select a network, and enter the password. Network configuration can also be done via Settings > WIFI.
FCC Caution
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: it must not cause harmful interference, and it must accept any interference received. Changes not expressly approved may void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, users are advised to try measures like reorienting the antenna, increasing separation between equipment, or consulting a dealer/technician. The device meets general RF exposure requirements for portable use.
