Important Safety Information
Lectric eBikes are classified as EPACs (Electrically Power Assisted Cycles). Riders are responsible for adhering to all local regulations regarding eBike use, including age, licensing, and traffic laws. Always ride responsibly and use common sense.
Key safety points include:
- Always wear a helmet that meets or exceeds CPSC standards.
- Ensure your helmet fits properly and is securely fastened.
- Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Consult a doctor if you have any medical conditions that may affect your ability to ride safely.
- Keep small parts away from children.
- Do not modify the eBike's frame or components.
- Always use proper lifting techniques.
- Ride defensively, watch for obstacles, and be aware of your surroundings.
- Use caution in wet conditions, as braking distances increase.
- Ensure lights are on for visibility, especially when riding at night.
- Wear reflective clothing at night.
Pre-Ride Safety Checklist
Lectric eBikes recommends performing a pre-ride safety check before and after each ride to ensure all components are in good working order. This includes:
- Inspecting the eBike for damage.
- Verifying that axles and latches are secure.
- Checking tire pressure.
- Testing brake levers.
- Ensuring all hardware is properly tightened.
- Confirming folding latches are closed and locked.
- Checking stem and seat post insertion points.
- Ensuring pedals are in a flat position.
- Checking the condition of the belt drive.
- Adhering to weight limits: maximum total weight of 275 lbs (125 kg), with the rear rack supporting up to 50 lbs (22 kg).
- Ensuring the battery is fully charged.
Understanding Signal Words
This manual uses signal words to indicate potential hazards:
- DANGER: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
- WARNING: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
- CAUTION: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury, or alert against unsafe practices.
- NOTICE: Provides important information not related to hazards, such as property damage.
On-Product Warning Labels
Your Lectric eBike is equipped with warning labels for your protection. These labels provide critical safety information, including the eBike's class, wattage, and top speed. The Lectric XP Lite 2.0 is a Class 2 eBike with a 300W motor and a top speed of 20mph.
