The Intermatic WP3100C, part of the Flexi-Guard series, is an In-Use Weatherproof Receptacle Cover designed for single-gang electrical applications. It provides essential protection for electrical receptacles installed in wet locations, adhering to the 2005 NEC 406.8(B) code. This code mandates that such enclosures must remain weatherproof, regardless of whether an attachment plug cap is inserted.

The cover is certified NEMA 3R, ensuring robust protection against environmental elements.

Installation Instructions

These instructions are for new construction installations:

1. Install the electrical device into an approved junction box, following the device manufacturer's specific instructions.
2. Prepare the WP3100 base by removing the designated cord set ports as illustrated in Diagram 1. [Diagram 1: Shows the removal of cord set ports from the WP3100C base.]
3. Select the correct device insert for your receptacle type. If necessary, modify the insert for toggle or single receptacles to ensure a proper fit for the specific device. [Diagram 2: Illustrates the selection and potential modification of a device insert.]
