Operating Instructions
On/Off and Mode Switching
- To turn on/off: Press and hold the tail switch for 0.5 seconds.
- To cycle through modes (Eco, Low, Med, High): With the light on, single press the tail switch.
- To access Turbo mode: Double press the tail switch from any mode.
- To access Strobe mode: With the light on, press and hold the tail switch for 1.2 seconds.
Battery Level Indication
The indicator light on the tail switch shows the battery status:
- Green: 80%-100%
- Orange: 40%-80%
- Red: 20%-40%
- Red Flashing: 1%-20%
Charging the Battery
The PD45R ACE uses a USB Type-C charging port. Connect the included USB cable to the charging port on the flashlight and a power source. The indicator light will show charging status.
- Charging: Red light
- Fully Charged: Green light
Battery Replacement
To replace the battery, unscrew the tail cap, remove the old battery, and insert a new compatible battery (e.g., Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0). Ensure correct polarity (+/-) before screwing the tail cap back on.
Warnings and Precautions
- DO NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone. This can cause permanent eye damage.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not disassemble or modify the flashlight to avoid damage.
- Use only the specified battery type.
- Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity.
- Avoid exposing the flashlight to extreme temperatures.
- The flashlight is waterproof up to IP68 standards, but do not submerge for extended periods or in saltwater without proper rinsing.
Maintenance
Periodically clean the flashlight threads and contacts with a soft cloth. If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, store it with the battery removed or in a low-power state.
