The Philips BHD628 hair dryer features SenseIQ technology, which personalizes your drying experience. It continuously senses your hair's temperature and adjusts the heat to prevent overheating, leaving your hair moisturized, shiny, and healthy-looking. The indicator light [?] on top of the hair dryer illuminates when SenseIQ is active.

- Do not use this appliance near water. When used in a bathroom, unplug after use as proximity to water is a risk even when switched off.
- Do not use near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other water-containing vessels.
- Always unplug after use.
- If the appliance overheats, it switches off automatically. Unplug and let it cool down. Check grilles for blockages (fluff, hair) before restarting.

Understanding Your Hair Dryer
The hair dryer includes the following components:

How to Use Your Hair Dryer
- Connect the plug to a power outlet and switch on the appliance. The speed indication displays '0' [Power Off Symbol] when off.
- Select the styling nozzle [Styling Nozzle] (i, g) for drying/styling or the diffuser [Diffuser] (h) for curly hair.
- Adjust air speed [Speed Control] (c) and temperature [Temperature Control] (e) as needed.

Using the Styling Nozzle (Refer to Fig. C)
- Attach the styling nozzle [Styling Nozzle] (g) and select 'Fast' or 'Dry' setting.
- Section hair (max 5cm wide). Place a brush under the hair near the roots. With the nozzle pointing downwards, move the brush and dryer in one motion from root to tip. Repeat on other sections.
- Press the Cool Shot button [Cool Shot Button] (a) for cool airflow to set your style.
- To create soft flicks: Slightly turn the brush inward at the ends. Continuously press the Cool Shot button [Cool Shot Button] and hold the brush for 3-4 seconds.
Using the Diffuser (Refer to Fig. D)
- Attach the diffuser [Diffuser] (h) to the dryer.
- Hold the dryer vertically. Place hair in a circular motion between the pins and move slowly towards the scalp.
- Press the Cool Shot button [Cool Shot Button] (a) for cool airflow to set your style.

After Use
Cleaning and Storage
- Switch off the appliance and unplug it [Power Off Symbol].
- Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down.
- Clean the dryer body regularly with a damp cloth. Use a toothbrush or vacuum cleaner to clear dust from the grilles (Refer to Fig. F).
- Store in a safe, dry, dust-free place. You can also hang it by the hanging loop [Hanging Loop] (f).
