Installation
Step 1: Preparation
Diagram 1a: Shows a unit with dimensions 228 mm x 34 mm. A warning symbol `⚠` is displayed next to `0 V`.
Diagram 1b: Illustrates drilling a cable entry using a screwdriver. Specifies 'If cable entry on the right' and 'Min. 5cm'. Shows flexible or rigid wire with diameter 2.5 mm < Ø < 13.5 mm.
Diagram 1c: Depicts drilling into honeycomb zones or flexible material. Also shows 'Drilling zones to avoid' with shaded areas to steer clear of.
Before use: Ensure 24h charging time.
Wiring
Step 2: Wiring Connections
- For wire cross-section 0.5 < S < 2.5 mm²: Cabling of connectors with a screwdriver.
- For wire cross-section 1.5 < S < 2.5 mm²: Cabling of connectors by hand.
Refer to the packaging for complete wiring details.
Diagram shows battery connection with a minimum clearance of 8 mm.
Power connection: 230V ~ 50-60Hz (L, N).
Compatible TLU units: LUM10312 - TLU/TLU2, LUM10313 - TL500.
Refer to user manuals for more information, including 'Dynamic Display / Increase Affordance' settings via the TLU2 manual. Includes a `30 min.` timer icon.
Configuration
Step 3: Pictogram Configuration
Sequence of diagrams (a, b, c, d) showing how to insert and secure pictograms into the luminaire, involving clicking them into place.
Mounting
Step 4: Ceiling Mounting
Diagrams show the luminaire being mounted to a ceiling (a) and its back view with mounting points (b). Refers to steps 4c-d.
Operation and Testing
Step 5: Autotest and LED Description
Diagrams illustrate battery disconnection, waiting period, reconnection, and configuration changes. Includes a `230 V` warning.
Configuration Modes:
- Pair/Even: Autonomy Test Day D
- Impair/Odd: Autonomy Test Day postponed by 7 days
Autotest LED Indicators:
- Charge / Charge: 1 s
- Lamp / Lamp: 1 sem/1wk (test), 1 sem/1wk (normal)
- Battery / Battery: 10 sem/10wks (charge), 10 sem/10wks (discharge)
LED Description:
- Vert / Green: OK (constant)
- Vert / Green: TEST (flashing)
- Vert & jaune / Green & yellow: COM (constant)
- Jaune / Yellow: 2 s. (flashing)
- Jaune / Yellow: 0.5 s. (flashing)
- States: Fixe / Constant, Clignotant / Blinking
Note: Disconnect the battery, wait for 10 seconds, and reconnect it if you decide to change configuration (step 5). Refer to the TLU user manual for remote control operations.
General Safety Instructions
- This luminaire is not suitable for private use.
- It can only be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with safety regulations and accident prevention.
- The luminaire must be used in accordance with its intended use, in a proper and undamaged condition.
- Remove all foreign objects from the device before its first use.
- When working on the luminaire, first turn off the power completely, ensure it cannot be turned back on, and check for zero voltage. This applies to mains power, backup power, and any control or external voltage.
- Use only original spare parts for replacement.
- Luminaires with a specific label must be positioned to avoid staring at the light for a prolonged time from a short distance.
- If the luminaire is damaged or if any battery abnormalities (high temperature, discoloration, distortion, leakage) are noticed, disconnect the battery immediately and contact customer support.
- Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the battery. Replacing the battery with an incorrect type could lead to explosion. Using third-party products may cause battery leakage, overheating, or fires.
- Do not place or use the battery near fires, heaters, direct sunlight, or other heat sources. Prolonged exposure to heat may cause battery leakage, explosions, or fires.
- Do not place pressure on or pierce the battery with hard objects. Damaging the battery could cause leakage, overheating, or fires.
- Use the battery only with the luminaire intended for it.
- Do not immerse the battery in water or other liquids.
- Do not dispose of the battery as household waste. Respect applicable regulations for recycling.
Consumable Parts (Lamps and Batteries): Cooper Sécurité SAS (EATON Group) commits to ensuring the availability of consumable parts for 8 years from the last market placement date.
Battery Pack: Order code FT-BAT1. Replace the battery if autonomy is insufficient.
End of Life: When the light source reaches its end of life, the luminaire must be replaced.
Recycling: Collection, treatment, and recycling of WEEE (DEEE) and incorporated batteries are provided free of charge by Recyclum. For more information, visit www.recyclum.com. For DEEE, contact your local dealer.
