AnyTone AT-6666 10 Meter Radio User's Manual

Official user manual for the AnyTone AT-6666 10 Meter Radio.

Introduction

This document is the user's manual for the AnyTone AT-6666, a 10 Meter Radio transceiver. It provides detailed information on its functions, features, installation, operation, and specifications.

Functions & Features

Standard Accessories

The following accessories are included with the radio:

Installation

Choose the most appropriate setting from a simple and practical point of view. Ensure the radio does not interfere with the driver or passengers.

  1. Using the self-tapping screws and pads (2 sets) to fix the bracket.
  2. Place the non-slip mat on the 2 ends of the bracket and then place the radio. Insert the adjusting screws and check each screw carefully to ensure they and the machine remain secure when the car is shaking.
  3. Choose a suitable angle using the 3 screw holes in the two ends of the bracket.

Antenna Installation

Before using this radio, install a high-efficiency and harmonious adjusted CB antenna. Proper antenna type and correct installation will ensure excellent communication. The antenna and cable should have a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms; otherwise, the antenna system will not be efficient and may disturb other electronics.

  1. Screw the antenna connector into the antenna jack.
  2. Ground the antenna system for best performance.

Power Connection

This radio requires a 13.8V power supply. Never connect it to a 24V battery. Ensure the 13.8V car battery has sufficient current, or the LCD may dim and transmit power may drop.

  1. Connect the positive red power cable to the battery's '+' terminal.
  2. Connect the negative black power cable to the battery's '-' terminal.

It is suggested not to use the cigar lighter socket as it can cause voltage drops. Locate the power cable away from high temperatures, moisture, and potential ignition sources. Use a full power cable, even if it is longer than needed, and do not remove the fuse holder.

Warning

Replacing Fuse

This radio uses a 15A, 250V fuse. If the fuse blows, identify and correct the cause. After resolving the issue, replace the fuse. If new fuses blow repeatedly, disconnect the power and contact an authorized service center.

  1. Pull the two fuse covers in different directions to open them.
  2. Replace the blown fuse with a good one and close the fuse holder.
  3. Ensure you use the suggested fuse type to avoid damaging the radio.

Install Microphone Hanger

Choose an ideal location that will not interfere with the driver. Use the supplied self-tapping screws and pads (2 sets) to fix the hanger.

Install External Speaker

If using an external speaker, choose an 8-ohm speaker with a 3.5mm mono plug.

  1. Locate the external speaker in a suitable place.
  2. Plug it into the speaker jack.
