Check to ensure that the electric knife is not plugged in. 2. Reassemble the blades if necessary. To do this hold the blades using the finger grips and place the slot at the end of the right blade over the rivet on the left blade. Rivet Circular slot 3. Slide the rivet along so that both finger grips are situated next to each other. 4. For safety carefully place the blade cover back over the blades. 5. Insert the blade shaft into the slots of the handle using the finger grips. Ensure the back of the blades are facing the same way as the power switch. Always place the food to be carved on a suitable cutting board so worktops and tabletops are protected from damage. 2. Slot the plug into a power socket and switch on. 3. Hold the electric knife in position. Press and hold the power button to switch on (2). 2 4. When using the electric knife gently push the blade in the direction you wish to cut. 5. When slicing poultry cut almost to the bone and then separate meat from the bone manually. Do not attempt to cut through bones. 6. Do not use the knife for more than 2 minutes. Allow the knife to cool for at least 1 minute before continuing. 7. The blades are high quality and do not require sharpening. 8. Grip the blades firmly using the finger grips and press the Eject button (1). 3. Slide the blades out of the handle. How to... ...clean and store your electric knife Make sure your electric knife is disconnected from the power and is completely cool. 1. Remove the blades from the handle as detailed elsewhere in these instructions. 2. Separate the blades by sliding the rivet on the left blade out of the slot in the right blade. 3. Carefully wash the blades using warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 4. Wipe the handle with a slightly damp cloth then dry thoroughly. Never immerse the handle in any liquid. Dry thoroughly. 5. Place the blades together and slide into the blade cover supplied. 6. Place the electric knife and accessories inside the box in which it was supplied in a dry place out of reach of children. Never wrap the power cord around the knife or over-stress the cord where it attaches to the handle. To change the fuse, place a screwdriver into the recess of the plug cover and pull the fuse holder upward until it's free. 3. Slide the fuse out and pop in the replacement. 4.
