2. How to Use the Oven

The oven's features are controlled via the knobs and buttons on the control panel.

Initial Use Notice

Notice: For the first use, set the thermostat to the highest setting and run the oven for about half an hour with the door closed and nothing inside. Ventilate the room afterward. Any smell detected is due to protective substances evaporating.

Drip Tray Placement

Notice: Place the provided drip tray on the bottom shelf only when roasting food or using the grill (if available) to catch drips. For all other cooking, never use the bottom shelf, as it can damage the enamel. Always place kitchen utensils on the provided racks along the oven guides.

The Oven Knob

This knob selects oven modes and cooking temperatures (150°C to 250°C). The electronic ignition is integrated. To light the burner: press and hold knob "B" fully, turn counterclockwise to Max (with the door closed). Due to a safety device, keep knob "B" pressed for approximately 6 seconds to heat the thermocouple. The ignition must not be activated for more than 15 seconds. If the burner doesn't light, stop ignition, open the door, wait one minute, and try again. The cooking temperature is set by aligning the desired temperature with the control panel mark. The oven will automatically reach and maintain the set temperature.

Important Notice: If the burner flame extinguishes accidentally, turn control knob "B" to the off position, open the oven door, and wait at least one minute before attempting to relight.

The Grill Knob

The oven features an electric grill for browning meats and roasts, retaining juices. It's ideal for dishes requiring high surface temperatures like steaks, veal, ribs, and hamburgers. Press the knob fully and adjust to activate the grill (infrared rays) and grill motor (on some models). The grill motor stays on while the grill is running. Important: Keep the oven door closed when using the grill.

The Grill (Optional Feature)

To start the grill:

  1. Place the drip tray on the 1st rack.
  2. Insert the special grill holder into the 3rd rack and place the grill through the special hole at the back of the oven.
  3. Start the grill using the "B" button to select the setting.

Grill Indicator Light

This light illuminates when the grill is active.

Cooling Ventilation

Some models have a cooling fan that activates with selector knob "B" to manage external temperature. During cooking, the fan is always on, producing a normal airflow sound from the oven door and control panel area. The fan remains on until the oven sufficiently cools down. Warning: Do not use the oven if the cooling fan is not working during a prolonged electrical failure.

Oven Cleaning

Never use metal abrasive pads, abrasive cleaning products, or very rigid brushes.

To clean the light cover, use a diluted household cleaning product, rinse with clean water, and dry with a soft cloth.

Once the product is clean, apply mineral oil or baby oil to the steel with a dry, clean towel. For glass cleaning, use alcohol with great caution and a dry, clean towel.

Timer

Timer Overview: The display shows time in hours and minutes. Buttons are labeled "Function", "Less", and "More".

IMPORTANT: If the oven or grill is in use during a timer countdown, it will continue heating after the countdown ends. Turn off the oven/grill using the oven function and temperature control knob.

How to Remove the Oven Door

For deeper cleaning, the oven door can be removed:

  1. Open the door completely.
  2. Lift and rotate the small levers on the two hinges.
  3. Hold the door by its external sides, close it slowly but not completely.
  4. Pull the door towards you to detach it from its seat. Reassemble by reversing these steps.

Replacing the Oven Lamp

To replace the oven lamp:

  1. Disconnect the oven from the power supply using the main switch or by unplugging it if accessible.
  2. Remove the glass cover of the lamp holder.
  3. Remove the old lamp and replace it with a high-temperature resistant lamp (300) with the following characteristics:
    • Voltage: 110/120V
    • Power: 15W
    • Type: E14
  4. Replace the glass cover and reconnect the oven to the mains.

3. Installation

Installation must be performed by a qualified person according to the provided instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for harm or damage resulting from improper installation.

Important: Disconnect the power supply before any adjustment or maintenance.

Positioning

Important: This appliance must be installed and used only in rooms with permanent ventilation, complying with current national regulations. Requirements include:

Diagram illustrating ventilation requirements: a system venting directly outside, and a room with an exhaust hood or fan.

Ventilation can also be provided indirectly through adjacent rooms equipped with air circulation tubes. These rooms must be common areas, bedrooms, or rooms with fire risk.

Diagram showing an adjoining room with ventilation openings for air circulation.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is heavier than air and settles downwards. Rooms with LPG cylinders must have outward openings for gas ventilation in case of leaks. LPG cylinders should not be installed or stored in rooms or storage areas below ground level. It is advisable to keep only the cylinder in use in the room, positioned away from heat sources that could raise its temperature above 50°C.

Before installation, verify that local gas distribution conditions (gas type and pressure) are compatible with the device settings, indicated on the data plate.

This device is not connected to a combustion product evacuation device and will be installed according to current regulations, with special attention to ventilation requirements.

Installation of Built-in Ovens

For proper operation, the oven's enclosure must be appropriate. The following figure shows cutout dimensions for installation under a counter or in a wall cabinet.

Diagram showing recommended cutout dimensions for installation under a counter or in a wall cabinet unit.

To ensure adequate ventilation, the back panel of the cabinet unit must be removed. Installing the oven on two strips of wood is preferable. If placed on a flat, continuous surface, an opening of at least 45x560 mm is required.

Adjacent cabinet panels should be made of heat-resistant material, assembled with glues capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C.

In compliance with safety standards, electrical parts should not be accessible after installation.

To fix the oven to the cabinet, open the door and secure it using the 4 wooden screws in the perimeter frame holes.

Electric Connection

Ovens with a three-pole power cable operate on alternating current, matching the voltage and frequency on the data plate. The grounding cable is greenish-yellow.

Mounting on a Power Cable

To install the cable:

Connection of the Power Cable to the Mains

Install a standardized plug matching the load indicated on the data plate. When connecting directly to the mains, install an omnipolar circuit breaker with a minimum contact opening of 3 mm. The circuit breaker must be sized for the load and comply with regulations (it must not interrupt the ground wire).

The power cable must be positioned to avoid reaching temperatures over 50°C relative to the ambient temperature.

Before connecting, verify that the kitchen is properly grounded for electrical safety. Consult a qualified technician if unsure. The manufacturer is not liable for damages from ungrounded systems.

Before connecting, verify that the specifications on the appliance's data plate match your home's mains system.

Check that the system's electrical capacity and plugs support the device's maximum power. Consult a qualified technician if you have questions.

If the plug is incompatible, have a qualified technician replace it with a suitable model, ensuring cable cross-section is adequate. Avoid adapters, multiple plugs, or extensions; if unavoidable, use only those compliant with safety regulations, respecting maximum current capacity. The plug and socket must be easily accessible.

Adaptation to Different Types of Gas

To adapt the oven to a different gas type:

  1. Replacing the Oven Burner Nozzle:
    • Open the oven door completely.
    • Remove the sliding bottom of the oven.
    • Unscrew the burner fixing screws.
    • Remove screw "V" and then the oven burner.

Unscrew the burner nozzle using a special wrench or a 7 mm socket wrench and replace it with a suitable nozzle for the new gas type.

Note: If installing with LPG, changing the oven is not necessary.

Take special care when handling spark plug wires and thermocouple tubes. Replace all parts in reverse order of removal.

Primary Air Regulation for the Oven Burner

The burner is designed not to require primary air adjustment.

Minimum Regulation of the Oven Door

Adjust the oven burner minimum:

  1. Turn the knob to the Max setting for approximately 10 minutes, then to Min.
  2. Remove the knob and the disk attached to the control panel.
  3. Adjust the screw located outside the thermostat key pin until the flame is small but stable. The flame can be seen through the grooves in the bottom of the oven.

Note: For liquid gas, the adjustment screw must be fully screwed in.

Check that the burner does not extinguish when turning the knob quickly from Max to Min, or when opening and closing the oven door quickly.

Warning: After this operation, replace the old adhesive label with one indicating the new gas type used. This sticker is available at Service Centers.

Note: If the gas pressure differs from the recommended pressure, a suitable pressure regulator must be installed in the inlet pipe, in accordance with national regulations.
