INGREDIENTS TIPS FOR STEAMING

4. Recipe Ideas

Steamed chicken/fish/vegetables

Cook plain chicken, fish, tofu, or vegetables from raw in the Bonsai. Experiment with seasonings like peri peri, Cajun, Moroccan, or furikake.

Add delicious sauces

Enhance your dishes with sauces like Teriyaki, garlic soy, or ginger chili.

Steamed rice with veg

This is an 'all-in-one' dish cooked in the bottom rice container. Follow the steps in Section 3.1, adding small cubes of vegetables, meat/tofu, and seasoning with the rice and water. The result is a healthy and delicious steamed fried rice.

Have leftovers? No problem!

The Bonsai can reheat leftovers. For example, reheat chili con carne, jalfrezi, tikka, or Thai basil chicken dishes. Add food to the top and bottom containers as directed in Section 3.4.
