Safety Guidance
Users installing and operating this charger must observe all safety principles and regulations. Before use, ensure the electrical infrastructure is checked for suitability by a qualified electrician and complies with the charger specifications.
- Ensure the unit is properly grounded before turning it on to prevent accidents.
- Do not use wire extensions or adapter/converters.
- Always perform a visual inspection for damage before charging.
- The charging plug's contact area should be clean and dry. The charging cable must be free from cuts or abrasions, and the cable outlet on the charger must be securely seated.
- Unauthorized modifications, changes, or repairs to the charger are strictly prohibited and will void the warranty.
- The charger must not be used near volatile gases or flammable objects.
- Keep children away from the device during operation. It is strictly forbidden for children to touch or use the device.
- Disconnect the charger by pulling the plug, not the cable.
- Do not disconnect the charger during the charging process.
- Only change accessory adapters when the power supply is disconnected.
- Stop using the device immediately if any charging failure or abnormality occurs.
- It is strictly forbidden to use the equipment during thunderstorms.
- Protect the charger from moisture, rain, direct sunlight, and corrosive environments. Do not submerge the AC charging device in water.
- This product is exclusively for charging electric vehicles.
Product Overview
The VDLPOWER portable EV charger is a household charging device for electric vehicles. It complies with IEC 61851-1:2017 and IEC/EN 62752:2016 Mode 2 AC charging system standards. The charger consists of an AC charging connector (meeting EN 62196-2:2017 and SAE J1772), a control box on the cable, and a power plug.

1.4 Product Packing
The charger is packed in a five-layer corrugated carton with outer dimensions of 411mm x 36mm x 96mm. It also includes an exquisite storage bag (380mm x 320mm x 80mm) for easy carrying and protection against scratches.

1.5 Charging Principle
The charging principle is governed by the Control Pilot (CP) signal. Status 1 indicates a connection failure with a low CP voltage (approx. 12V). Status 2 signifies a potential connection with a high CP voltage (approx. 9V), indicating the S1 switch is engaged and R3 is detected. Status 3 confirms a successful connection with a CP voltage between 6V and 9V, signifying that both the Over-current Protection Device (OBS) and power supply are operational, allowing charging to begin.
Note: According to IEC 61851-1: 2017, high level maximum error is ±1V.

Mode of Operation
3.1 Function Setting
- Modify the current:
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ for 2 seconds in standby state to display the menu.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch functions and select the current modification submenu.
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ to enter the current modification interface.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to cycle through current options.
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ to save and exit.
- Exit without saving after 10 seconds of inactivity on the switch interface.
- Make an appointment to charge:
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ for 2 seconds in standby state to display the menu.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch functions and select the Reservation modification submenu.
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ to enter the reservation modification interface.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch the reservation time (maximum 5 hours).
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ to save and exit, entering countdown reservation. Charging begins after the countdown ends and the gun is inserted.
- Exit directly without operation in 10 seconds on the reservation interface.
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ on the reservation countdown interface to cancel the reservation ❌.
- Make an appointment for quick charging:
- Double-click the Function button ⚙️ to enter the reservation interface.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch the reservation time (maximum 5 hours).
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ to save and exit, entering countdown reservation. Charging begins after the countdown ends and the gun is inserted.
- Exit directly without operation in 10 seconds on the reservation interface.
- Long press the Function button ⚙️ on the reservation countdown interface to cancel the reservation ❌.
- Modify grounding-free charging:
- Hold down the Function button ⚙️ for 2 seconds in standby mode to display the menu.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch functions and select the Modify Without Grounding submenu.
- Hold down the Function button ⚙️ to enter the no-grounding modification screen.
- Press the Function button ⚙️ to switch the grounding mode.
- Hold down the Function button ⚙️ to save Settings and exit.
- Exit without performing any operation in 10 seconds on the switch page.
3.2 Operation Steps
- Power on: When the control box is powered on, the charging indicator light (?) lights up, and the screen displays the current range and status.
- Select current: Select the corresponding current using the modification method described above.
- Schedule charging: If needed, set the appointment time using the method described above.
- Connect vehicle: Plug the charger into the vehicle socket. The control box automatically detects the connection status. After successful connection, the charging indicator (?) blinks.
- Start charging: Establish communication with the vehicle. The vehicle detects the PWM signal duty cycle and maximum power current. The charging indicator (?) breathes. The screen displays power, electricity, temperature, and charging time.
- Monitor charging: During charging, monitor leakage current and temperature. If a fault occurs, the control box cuts power, stops charging, the indicator light (?) flashes, and the screen displays the fault name. After charging is complete, the charging indicator (?) is steady on.
- End of charge: The control box cuts power and stops charging. Unplug the charger from the socket and disconnect the plug from the vehicle charging port.
Note: For safety, three-phase products must be grounded. This product does not exempt from the grounding function.

Description of cable connection status icons: A disconnected status is represented by an empty circle, while a successful connection is shown with a filled circle.

- Connection State: Shows voltage, current, power, time, and quantity, with the connection status icon indicating successful connection.
- Charging 1 Phase Status: Displays line voltage, real-time current, real-time power, time, and quantity.
- Charging 3 Phase Status: Displays line voltage, real-time power, and real-time current for each phase (L1, L2, L3), along with time and quantity.

- All repairs and installations must be performed under the instruction of professional staff. Warranty service is not provided for self-installation or repair, which is at the user's own risk.
