Product Overview
The Bell+Howell Socket Fanlight is a unique device that fits standard light sockets, providing both illumination and air circulation. It features 1000 lumens of light, 3 fan speeds, and 3 light settings, all controlled by an included remote. No wiring is required for installation.

Assembly
Note: Fan blades are packed separately and require assembly. Insert each blade into its tab until it clicks. Blades can only be inserted one way.
- Turn off the power at the wall switch for the intended socket.
- Remove the protective cap from the light socket.
- If needed, use the socket extender. Connect both socket extenders together and screw them in clockwise until tightened.
- Screw the main unit clockwise into the socket (or extender) until secure. Do not overtighten.
- Turn the power back on using the wall light switch. The light will turn on to the High setting, and the fan will be off.
- Use the included remote to operate the fan and light settings.
Using the Remote
Remote working distance: up to 16 feet (5m). Remove the plastic tab from the battery compartment to activate the CR2025 battery.
Remote Buttons:
- Power Button (Red): Turns the unit OFF (fan and light).
- Fan Speed Button: Turns the fan on at the Low setting. Keep pressing to cycle through Low/Medium/High/OFF.
- Light Setting Button: Default light setting is High. Keep pressing to cycle through Low/Medium/High/OFF.
- Default Setting Button (Circular Arrow): Returns to the default setting (Light ON High with Fan OFF).
Note: A short beep will sound each time a button is pressed.
Remote Holder Mounting
Using 3M tape (included): Peel off the backing, place the holder adhesive-side down on the back of the holder, press for a few seconds. Peel off the other side and place on a smooth surface, pressing firmly.
Using screws/anchors (included): Insert screws into the holder openings and tighten to secure.
Remote Battery Replacement
- Pull the battery compartment tray to open.
- Insert a new CR2025 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Push the tray back in until fully inserted.
If the Remote is Misplaced
The Socket Fanlight can be operated via the wall light switch using the memory or default setting.
Memory Feature (Wall Switch):
- If the unit is turned off via the wall switch, the last fan/light setting is saved.
- When the wall switch is turned back on, the default setting (Light ON High/Fan OFF) will briefly engage, followed by the last saved setting (allow 5-8 seconds for memory restore).
- If both fan and light were turned off via the remote, turning the wall switch back on will use the default setting.

Important Safeguards
- Keep fan out of reach of children.
- Do not bend blade brackets when installing, balancing, or cleaning.
- Do not insert foreign objects into rotating fan blades.
- Install unit at least 8 feet (2.43 m) above the floor.
- Do not install additional extenders less than 9 feet (2.74 m) above the floor. Each socket extender adds 4.5 inches to the height. Ensure adequate clearance.
- Consult a qualified electrician for proper branch circuit conductor.
- Install in accordance with applicable installation codes by a qualified person.
- Device must be installed on a stationary light socket only.
- Ensure threads inside the light socket are in good working condition.
- Ensure the unit is connected and screwed in tightly. Test on low setting.
- Install with an isolating wall control/switch to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Do not stare directly into the LED light due to high intensity.
- Use in dry locations only.
- Switch off power before installing.
- Never place anything over the fan or into the unit blades when running.
- Use in open luminaires only.
- Do not use with dimmers.
- Do not place objects near the unit.
- Added weight may cause instability of portable luminaires.
- Not intended for use with emergency exits.
- Do not operate if unit malfunctions, is dropped, or damaged. Return for examination/repair.
- Turn unit off when not in use or during cleaning. Ensure fan has completely stopped before handling.
- LEDs are non-replaceable.
