Overview
Device Description
The sensor system consists of two main components: the Sensor Module and the Magnet Module. The Sensor Module is a tall, slender rectangular device with rounded edges, featuring a "Status LED (Glow Through)", a "Security Screw" at the bottom, and a "Sensor Mount Plate" on the back. The Magnet Module is a shorter, thinner rectangular device with rounded edges, also featuring a "Security Screw" and a "Magnet Mount Plate" on the back.
LED Behaviors
Install Mode: To enable Install mode, power cycle the device by removing the battery or enable from Command. The LED will remain active for 5 minutes.
- Solid Green: Sensor is detecting the magnet has been separated (Door Opened).

Mounting Scenarios
Perpendicular Mounting
This scenario is for recessed door frames. The sensor module is mounted on the door frame, and the magnet module is mounted on the door, positioned perpendicular to each other. The edges of the sensor module and the magnet should nearly be touching, with an ideal distance of around 0.1in (3.0mm). A spacer can be utilized underneath the magnet module to achieve this distance.
Side-by-side Mounting
This scenario is for flush door frames. The sensor module is mounted on the door frame, and the magnet module is mounted on the door, positioned side-by-side. The edges of the sensor module and the magnet should nearly be touching, with an ideal distance of around 0.1in (3.0mm).
Installation
Preparation
- Use the provided T10 Security Torx L-key to unscrew the security screw at the bottom of the product. [Illustration: T10 Torx L-key unscrewing a screw at the base of the sensor module.]
- Swing the bottom of the sensor body away from the mount plate and disengage the hook at the top of the sensor mount. [Diagram: Sensor module tilting away from its mount plate, showing hook disengagement.]
- Remove the battery pull tabs. [Illustration: Battery pull tabs being removed.]
- Engage the hook at the top of the sensor mount and swing the sensor module into place. [Diagram: Sensor module being reattached to its mount plate.]
Mounting Option 1: Perpendicular (1/4)
- Test-mount the sensor module to the top side of the door frame in the corner furthest from the hinges.
- Test-mount the magnet to the door itself.
- Ensure the edges of the sensor module and the magnet are nearly touching, with an ideal distance of around 0.1in (3.0mm). A spacer can be used if needed.
- While the device is in Install mode, verify the door registers as closed (the sensor module LED will turn off when it senses a closed door). [Diagrams: Sensor and magnet aligned, with checkmarks ✔️.]
- Remove the sensor body from the mount plate, use a drill to make pilot holes, and screw the sensor mount plate into place. [Diagram: Sensor mount plate being screwed onto the door frame.]
Note: Screw mounting is required for the tamper detection to function. Using only adhesive will prevent tamper detection from triggering properly.
Mounting Option 1: Perpendicular (2/4)
- Use the provided T10 Security Torx L-key to unscrew the security screw at the bottom of the magnet. [Illustration: T10 Torx L-key unscrewing a screw at the base of the magnet module.]
- Swing the bottom of the magnet body away from the mount plate and disengage the hook at the top of the magnet mount. [Diagram: Magnet module tilting away from its mount plate, showing hook disengagement.]
- Use the "Align" marks to guide placement. Drill pilot holes. [Diagram: Magnet mount plate alignment marks and pilot hole drilling.]
- Screw the magnet mount plate to the desired surface. [Diagram: Magnet mount plate being screwed onto the door.]
Mounting Option 1: Perpendicular (3/4)
- Engage the hook at the top of the magnet cover and swing the magnet cover into place. [Diagram: Magnet module being reattached to its mount plate.]
- Use the provided T10 Security Torx L-key to secure the security screw in place. [Illustration: T10 Torx L-key tightening the security screw.]
Mounting Option 1: Perpendicular (4/4)

Mounting Option 2: Side-by-side (1/4)
- Test-mount the sensor module to the side of the flush door frame furthest from the hinges.
- Test-mount the magnet to the door itself.
- Ensure the edges of the sensor module and the magnet are nearly touching, with an ideal distance of around 0.1in (3.0mm).
- While the device is in Install mode, verify the door registers as closed (the sensor module LED will turn off when it senses a closed door). [Diagrams: Sensor and magnet aligned side-by-side, with checkmarks ✔️.]
