FieldPoint Note to Users

USING THIS PRODUCT SAFELY IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS

This equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, T4 hazardous locations; Class I, Zone 2, AEx nC IIC T4 and Ex nC IIC T4 hazardous locations; and nonhazardous locations only.

Cautions Explosion hazard--Substitution of components may impair suitability for Class I, Division 2 and Class I, Zone 2.
Explosion hazard--Do not disconnect equipment unless power has been switched off or the area is known to be nonhazardous.
For screw-terminal connections on the FP-1000, FP-1001, and FP-TB-1, use 16­26 AWG copper wire with 7 mm (0.28 in.) of insulation stripped from the end. Tighten screw terminals to 0.5­0.6 N  m (4.4­5.3 lb  in.) of torque.
Special Conditions for Safe Use in Europe
This equipment has been evaluated as EEx nC IIC T4 equipment under DEMKO Certificate No. 02 ATEX 0148639X. Each module is marked II 3G and is suitable for use in Zone 2 hazardous locations.

Cautions Equipment must be installed in a minimum IP 54 enclosure.
Equipment must be used within its electrical and environmental ratings. Refer to the Specifications section of the product manual. Refer to the product label for manufacturing location.
