The Televes EuroSwitch is a compact and effective multiswitch designed for large installations. It features 9 inputs, comprising one terrestrial input and eight inputs for two satellites (each supporting four polarities), and provides 32 user outputs.
Its compact design and optimized electronic circuitry result in very low through and tap losses. This efficiency allows for a reduction in the number of amplifiers required in a cascade setup, leading to a more balanced signal distribution to users, even in extensive collective installations.
The EuroSwitch can function as a terminal unit in a star topology or be used in a cascade configuration via a simple switch. It also incorporates a second switch that activates the TForce technology. This technology automatically adjusts the terrestrial signal level, maintaining it consistently despite reception variations. The product is RED compliant.

Application Example
Installation into a medium-size hotel (2 satellites)
In a typical medium-size hotel installation with two satellites, the LNBs, terrestrial antenna, and the entire cascade are powered by a single 3A Power Supply Unit (PSU). If an amplifier is used within the system, it is recommended as the primary component for placing the power supply unit.
The diagram illustrates a distribution system where a PSU powers a Televes Multiswitch (MSW 9x9x16). This multiswitch receives signals from a terrestrial antenna and two satellite LNBs (SAT 1, SAT 2). The outputs of the multiswitch are then distributed to multiple Set-Top Boxes (STBs), each connected to a television (TV). The system can be configured for cascade operation, linking multiple multiswitches, with amplifiers (Ampl 9x) and the TForce technology set to 'ACTIVE' and the AUTOLOAD mode to 'CASCADE'. Alternatively, it can be set up in a terminal mode, where the multiswitch operates as the end point with AUTOLOAD set to 'TERMINAL' and TForce 'ACTIVE'. The diagram also indicates the flow of DC power from the PSU throughout the connected components.
