Operating Instructions

Using Your Microwave Oven to Cook

  1. Open the door.
  2. Place food inside the microwave oven.
  3. Press keypad to select your favorite recipe.
  4. Use number keypad to input food weight/amounts.
  5. Close the door.
  6. Press Start to begin cooking.
  7. Press Stop/Clear once to pause, twice to cancel.

Demo Mode

To activate: In Idle state, press Settings repeatedly until Demo Mode submenu, press "1", press Settings again.

To deactivate: Repeat activation steps.

Setting Custom Cook Time and Power Level

  1. Press Cook Time / Power.
  2. Use number buttons for custom cook time.
  3. Press Cook Time / Power again.
  4. Enter power level.
  5. Press Start.

Using Express Start Buttons

Use +30 sec, 1, 2, and 3 min buttons to quickly start or add time.

Using Hood Light

Press the Light button to adjust settings: HIGH, MED, LOW, OFF.

Using Hood Fan

Press the Fan button to adjust settings: HIGH, MED, LOW, OFF.

Aluminum Foil and Metal Usage

Always use oven mitts or pot holders. Aluminum foil and some metal can be used, but improper use can cause arcing and damage.

OK for Use:

  • Browning dish (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Ceramic glass, glass
  • China, earthenware (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Melamine (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Paper towels, paper plates, napkins (use non-recycled paper)
  • Plastic wraps, bags, covers, dinnerware, containers (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Pottery and clay (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Silicone bakeware (follow manufacturer recommendations)
  • Wax paper

Do Not Use:

  • Metal cookware and bakeware
  • Gold, silver, pewter
  • Non-approved meat thermometers, skewers, twist ties
  • Foil liners (e.g., sandwich wrappers)
  • Staples
  • Objects with gold or silver trim or metallic glaze

Oven Vents

The top vent releases hot air and moisture and should not be blocked. Do not place items that could melt or burn near it. The bottom vent allows fresh air intake and hot air outlet; it should also not be blocked. Blocking vents impairs air circulation, affecting cooking, cleaning, and cooling.

Maintenance and Replacement

Clean Grease Filter

Clean monthly. The grease filter is on the bottom plate.

  1. Disconnect power.
  2. Slide grease filter out of the bottom plate.
  3. Clean with mild cleanser and scouring pad, or use dishwasher.
  4. Dry and reattach the grease filter.

Replace Grease Filter

Replace if damaged.

  1. Disconnect power.
  2. Slide old/damaged grease filter out of the bottom plate.
  3. Install a new grease filter.

Replace Charcoal Filter

Located behind the top front vent grille. Replace every 6 months.

  1. Disconnect power. Open the door.
  2. Remove 2 screws from vent grille, slide vent grille left, tilt forward, lift out.
  3. Push right holding plate to the right to release old filter from hooks.
  4. Insert new charcoal filter with mesh side facing out.
  5. Reinstall vent grille: insert bottom latch hooks into front holes, tilt back, slide right, secure with screw.

Replace Cavity Light

Located behind the top front vent grille, under the light cover. Ensure LED is cool before replacement.

  1. Disconnect power. Open the door.
  2. Remove 2 screws from vent grille, slide vent grille left, tilt forward, lift out.
  3. Open light cover. Unplug LED terminal.
  4. Use a tool to release right side hooks holding LED light. Slide LED right and remove.
  5. Replace with new LED light board, slide left, fix with hooks.
  6. Reinstall vent grille as described in charcoal filter replacement.

Replace Cooktop Light

Located on the bottom plate. Replaceable.

  1. Disconnect power.
  2. Loosen screws on bottom light cover with screwdriver.
  3. Remove cover and screws.
  4. Hold wire, pull right, loosen wire from LED board.
  5. Use screwdriver to push up metal holding lock (upper right corner) to release LED board.
  6. Slide LED board right and remove.
  7. Replace with new LED light board, slide into holding locks.
  8. Reinstall light cover and secure with screws.
