Control Panel Description:

Product Information

An induction hob is a modern cooking appliance that offers many advantages compared to a traditional hob, such as easy cleaning, high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and safety.

A few words about induction cooking (induction hobs only)

Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient, and economical cooking technology. It works on the principle of electromagnetic vibrations, generating heat directly in the pot, rather than indirectly by heating the glass surface. The glass heats up only because it is affected by the hot pan.

Diagram illustrating induction cooking principle:

Shows a pot on the hob, with arrows indicating magnetic field, induced currents, and heat transfer.

Suitable cookware:

Before using your new hob

Using the touch controls

Choosing the right cookware (for induction hobs)

Important: Only ferromagnetic cookware is suitable for induction cooking. Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or the bottom of the cookware. You can check if your cookware is suitable by performing a magnet test. Move a magnet towards the base of the cookware. If it is attracted, the pan is suitable for induction.

Cookware made from the following materials is not suitable: pure stainless steel, aluminum or copper without a magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic, and stoneware.

Hob size (mm) Minimum hob size (diameter/mm)
160 120
180 140
180x380 240

Do not use cookware with uneven edges or a curved bottom.

Ensure that the base of the pan is flat, lies flush with the glass, and is the same size as the cooking zone. Always place the cookware in the center of the cooking zone.

Always remove pans from the hob – do not slide them, as they may scratch the glass.

Diagrams showing suitable and unsuitable cookware:

Illustrations show pans with magnetic bases (suitable) and pans without magnetic bases or with uneven bases (unsuitable).

If the base of the cookware is only partially ferromagnetic, only the area that is ferromagnetic will heat up. This may mean that the heat is not distributed evenly. The non-ferromagnetic surface may not heat up to a temperature that allows cooking.

The ferromagnetic surface will also be smaller if the material from which the base of the cookware is made includes, for example, aluminum. This may mean that the cookware will not heat up sufficiently or will not be detected at all.

The materials from which the base of the cookware is made can affect the final cooking result. Using pots and pans made from materials that distribute heat evenly, such as stainless steel pans with a triple-layer base, saves time and energy. Use cookware with a flat bottom. If the bottom of the cookware is uneven, it may hinder heat transfer.

Cooking tips

Warning: Exercise caution when frying, as oil and fat heat up very quickly, especially if you use the Power Boost function. At extremely high temperatures, oil and fat will ignite spontaneously, posing a serious fire risk.

Cooking tips

Simmering, cooking rice

Roast steak

To cook juicy, flavorful steaks:

  1. Let the meat sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.
  2. Preheat a heavy-based pan.
  3. Brush both sides of the steak with oil. Drizzle a small amount of oil onto the hot pan, then place the meat onto the hot pan.
  4. Turn the steak only once while frying. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steak and how you like it cooked. The time may be around 2-8 minutes per side. Press the steak to gauge its doneness – the firmer it is, the more “well-done” it is.
  5. Let the steak rest for a few minutes on a warm plate to relax and tenderize before serving.

For stir-frying

  1. Choose a flat-bottomed wok or a large pan compatible with the ceramic hob.
  2. Prepare all ingredients and equipment. Stir-frying should be quick. If you are cooking large quantities, cook the food in several smaller batches.
  3. Briefly heat the pan and add two tablespoons of oil.
  4. Cook the meat first, set it aside, and keep it warm.
  5. Stir-fry the vegetables. When they are hot but still crisp, set the cooking zone to a lower level, return the meat to the pan, and add the sauce.
  6. Gently mix the ingredients to ensure they are heated through.
  7. Serve immediately.

Care and Cleaning

What? How? Important!
Daily soiling on the glass (fingerprints, traces, food stains, or non-sugar stains) 1. Turn off the hob. After turning off the hob, the 'hot surface' indicator will not appear, but the cooking zone may still be hot! Exercise extreme caution. 2. Apply a hob cleaning agent when the glass is still warm (but not hot!). 3. Rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. 4. Turn on the hob again.
  • Harsh detergents, some nylon cleaners, and abrasive/corrosive cleaning agents can scratch the glass. Always read the label to check if your cleaning agent or cleaner is suitable.
  • Never leave cleaning agent residues on the hob: the glass may become stained.
Spills from boiling, melting, and hot sugary liquids on the glass Remove immediately with a fish spatula, palette knife, or scraper with a blade suitable for ceramic glass cooktops, but be careful of hot cooking zones: 1. Turn off the hob using the wall switch. 2. Hold the blade or utensil at a 30° angle and scrape off the dirt or spill onto a cool area of the hob. 3. Clean the dirt or collect the spilled liquid with a dishcloth or paper towel. 4. Perform steps 2 to 4 from the 'Daily soiling of the glass' section above.
  • Remove stains left by melted and sugary food or spills as quickly as possible. If left on the glass to cool, they may be difficult to remove or even permanently damage the glass surface.
  • Risk of cuts: when the safety cover is retracted, the scraper blade is razor-sharp. Use with extreme caution and always store safely and out of the reach of children.
Leaks on touch controls 1. Turn off the hob. 2. Wipe up any spills with a cloth. 3. Wipe the touch area with a clean damp sponge or cloth. 4. Wipe the area completely dry with a paper towel. 5. Turn on the hob again.
  • The hob may emit an audible signal and switch off, and the touch controls may not work when there is liquid on them. Before turning the hob back on, ensure that the touch control area has been wiped dry.

Troubleshooting

Problem Potential causes What to do
The hob cannot be switched on. No power supply. Control buttons are locked. There may be a power outage in your home or neighborhood. If you have checked everything and the problem persists, call a qualified technician. Ensure the hob is connected to the power supply and switched on. Unlock the buttons. Instructions are in the 'Using the hob' section. Check for a power outage in your home or neighborhood. If you have checked everything and the problem persists, call a qualified technician.
Touch buttons do not respond. Control buttons are locked. There may be a small layer of water on the control buttons, or you may be touching the control buttons with your fingertip. Unlock the buttons. Instructions are in the 'Using the hob' section. Ensure the touch control area is dry and touch the control buttons with the pad of your finger.
Touch control is difficult to operate. Cookware with rough edges. Use of unsuitable, abrasive cleaning pads or agents. Use cookware with a flat, smooth bottom. See 'Choosing the right cookware'. See 'Care and Cleaning'.
The glass is scratched. Using unsuitable, abrasive cleaning pads or agents. See 'Care and Cleaning'.
Some pans make crackling or clicking noises. This may be due to the construction of the cookware (different metal layers vibrating differently). This is normal for cookware and does not indicate a fault.
The induction hob emits a faint humming noise when used at high power levels. This is caused by the induction cooking technology. This is normal, but the noise should subside or disappear completely when the heating power is reduced.
The cooling fan noise comes from the induction hob. The cooling fan built into the induction hob has switched on to prevent the electronics from overheating. It may continue to operate even after the induction hob has been switched off. This is normal and does not require any action. Do not switch off the induction hob at the wall during the fan's operation.
Cookware does not heat up and nothing appears on the display. The induction hob cannot detect the cookware because it is not suitable for induction cooking. The induction hob cannot detect the cookware because it is too small for the cooking zone or not properly centered on it. Use cookware suitable for induction cooking. See the 'Choosing the right cookware' section. Center the pan and ensure its base corresponds to the size of the cooking zone.
The induction hob or a heating zone has unexpectedly switched off, an audible signal is heard, and an error code is displayed (usually alternating with one or two digits on the cooking timer display). Technical fault. Please note down the error letters and digits, switch off the induction hob at the wall, and contact a qualified technician.

Error display and control

In the event of a malfunction, the induction hob will automatically go into protective mode and display the corresponding error codes:

Problem Potential causes What to do
E3/E7 Temperature sensor failure Please contact the supplier.
E5 Protection against ceramic glass overheating Reconnect the power and turn on the hob after 30 minutes.
E4/E6 IGBT temperature sensor failure. Please contact the supplier.
E1/E2 Incorrect power supply voltage Check if the power supply is normal. Turn on the appliance after the power supply has been restored.
Er PCBA failure Please contact the supplier.
