How the System Works

The WUUK Smart Doorbell system consists of a video doorbell camera at your door and the WUUK Base Station inside your home. The doorbell detects motion and allows you to answer the door remotely via the WUUK app. The Base Station stores video clips and provides network connectivity. When the doorbell is pressed, notifications are sent to both the Base Station and your phone.

Connecting WUUK Base Station to the Internet

1. Connect the WUUK Base Station to your WiFi router using the provided Ethernet Cable.
2. Plug in the power cable to the Base Station and connect it to a power outlet (100-240V input).
3. The indicator light on the Base Station will turn blue ? during initialization (up to 1 minute).
4. Once initialization is complete, the indicator light turns green ?, indicating readiness for setup.
5. If the indicator light is red ?, check the Ethernet cable connection and your router's internet access.

Setting Up the System

Get the WUUK App and Add Device(s)

1. Download the WUUK app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
2. Register an account or log in if you already have one.
3. On the app homepage, tap "Add Device" and select "WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
5. Ensure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network you intend to use for the doorbell system during pairing.

Powering and Pairing the Doorbell

• The doorbell is partially charged from the factory. If it doesn't power on, charge it first using the "Charging the WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro" section.
• Power on: Long press the power button ? for 3 seconds until you hear "Hello, WUUK".
• Power off: Short press the power button ? 5 times until you hear three short beeps.
• Entering pairing mode: With the device on, long press the power button ? for 3 seconds until you hear a short beep and the indicator light flashes red ?.
• After adding the doorbell to the Base Station, proceed to finding a mounting spot.

Finding a Good Mounting Spot

For optimal performance, consider these factors before mounting:

1. Signal Reception: Ensure both the WUUK Smart Doorbell and the Base Station have a strong WiFi signal.
2. Field of View: Check that the doorbell captures your desired angle and view.

Use the "Network Diagnosis" feature in the WUUK app to test the WiFi signal strength at your chosen location. If the signal is weak, try moving the doorbell camera to a different spot until the app shows a good signal test result.

Height and Location Recommendations

• The WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro is designed for outdoor use, typically at home entrances.
• We recommend mounting the doorbell 3.9ft to 4.6ft (120MM to 140MM) above the ground to maximize motion sensor detection range.
• Avoid placing the doorbell in direct sunlight.
• The kit includes a 15° Angle Mount. Use it if needed to adjust the viewing angle. Verify the view in the WUUK app's Live View feature.

Mounting the WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro

Choose your preferred installation method:

Method 1: 1 Minute Installation with 3M VHB Tape

For strong adhesion, prepare the surface properly. Avoid applying tape in temperatures below 50°F (10°C); warm the tape with a hairdryer if necessary.

1. Peel off the red protective foil from the 3M VHB tape and attach the backplate to the desired location.
2. Press firmly on the backplate for 5 seconds.
3. Allow the tape to bond for at least 24 hours for maximum strength.

Note: Skip this section if using the built-in battery for power or if AC wires are not present.

Method 2: Screw On Installation (Optional)

Recommended for porous/uneven surfaces (concrete, stone, brick) or if you prefer screw mounting.

1. Use the provided doorbell locating pad to mark four drill hole positions.
2. Drill holes using a 6mm bit and install anchors if needed (especially for stucco, brick, or concrete).
3. Feed wires through the backplate.
4. Connect the wires from your wall to the screws on the back of the WUUK Doorbell. Either wire can connect to either screw.
5. If wires are difficult to connect, use the provided wire extensions and wire nuts ?.
6. Secure the WUUK Doorbell backplate to the wall using the four screws.
7. Feed all wires and wire nuts into the wall.

Final Step: Hook WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro

1. Ensure the WUUK Doorbell is powered on. Test by pressing the call button to see if the Base Station rings. If not, power it on until you hear "Hello, WUUK".
2. Hang the WUUK Doorbell PRO onto the wall mount. Align the top hook first, then snap the bottom into place.
3. Press the lower part of the doorbell until you hear a click.

Understanding the Indicator Light

WUUK Base Station

• Blue: System is initializing.
• Green: Base Station is connected to the Internet.
• Red: Base Station is disconnected from the Internet.
• Flashing Red: Base Station is in pairing mode.

WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro

• Red: Smart Doorbell Pro is disconnected from the Base Station or not paired.
• Blue: Smart Doorbell Pro is being charged ?.
• Green: Smart Doorbell Pro's battery is fully charged ?.
• Flashing Red: Smart Doorbell Pro is in pairing mode ?.

Charging the WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro

Method 1: Connect the Type-C USB Cable to the doorbell's charging port and a power source.

Method 2: Connect the AC wires to the doorbell's AC wire ports and a doorbell transformer (8-24VAC).
