Important Safety Hints:
- Before first use: Ensure no transport damage, all transport bolts are removed, packaging is kept out of children's reach, and handle with at least two persons due to weight.
- Daily use: This appliance can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities if supervised. Keep children under 3 away unless supervised. Children should not play with the appliance. Do not let children or pets near the open door. Store detergents out of reach. Prepare laundry by pulling up zips, fixing loose threads, and using laundry bags for small items. Do not touch the appliance barefoot or with wet hands/feet. Do not cover ventilation openings. Keep the area free of dust and lint. Ensure only laundry is inside before use. Only dry textiles washed in water. Do not exceed nominal load. Remove items like lighters and matches from pockets. Use fabric softeners as specified. Note the cool-down cycle. Do not leave unattended during operation; if absent for long periods, interrupt the drying cycle. Do not switch off during drying cycle unless items are removed to release heat.
- Prohibited items for drying: Unwashed items, items contaminated with flammable substances (oil, acetone, alcohol, benzine, petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes), items with padding or fillings (pillows, jackets), items with rubber or foam rubber (latex foam), waterproof textiles, rubberised articles, and clothing with foam rubber filling.
- Maintenance/Cleaning: Supervise children during cleaning. Disconnect from electrical supply before maintenance. Keep the porthole and detergent drawer clean. Do not use water spray or steam. Replace damaged cords only with manufacturer-approved parts. Do not attempt self-repair.
- Installation: Ensure adequate door opening space. Place in a well-ventilated area. Do not install outdoors in damp places or near water leaks. Install/use only where temperature is above 5°C. Do not place on carpets or near walls/furniture. Avoid frost, heat, direct sunlight, or heat sources. Ensure electrical information matches the power supply. Do not use multi-plug adapters or extension cables. Use only supplied cable and hose sets. Do not damage the electric cable or plug. Use a separate earthed socket. Ensure the appliance is earthed. For UK, the plug is a 3-cord grounding plug. Ensure hose joints are firm and leak-free.

2. Product Description

- Front View: Detergent/Softener drawer, Worktop, Programme selector, Panel, Washer door, Service flap, Adjustable feet.

3. Control Panel
The control panel features:
- 1. Power button: Switches the appliance on/off.
- 2. Programme selector: Selects one of 14 programmes.
- 3. Display: Shows washing/drying time, end time delay, error codes, and service information.
- 4. Detergent/Softener drawer: Compartments for powder/liquid detergent, sanitizer, and softener.
- 5. Function buttons: Additional options for selected programmes (e.g., Delay, Extra Rinse, Temp., Speed, Dry Level, i-Refresh, Stain removal).
- 6. Start/Pause button: Starts or interrupts the programme.
Note: Acoustic signal: Signals sound when pressing buttons, turning the programme selector, and at the end of the programme. Can be deselected.
3.1 "Power" button
Touch to switch on; the display illuminates. Touch again for 2 seconds to switch off. Auto-shutdown occurs if no activity.
3.2 Programme selector
Turn the knob to select one of 14 programmes. The corresponding LED lights up.
3.3 Display
Shows washing/drying time, end time delay, error codes, and service information.
3.4 Detergent drawer
Compartments for detergent, sanitizer, and softener. Use liquid detergent before the wash cycle begins. Do not use liquid detergent with the 'Delay' function.
3.5 Function buttons
Enable additional options before starting a programme. Indicators light up when selected. Options are disabled when the appliance is switched off or a new programme is set.
- 3.5.1 "Delay" button: Starts the programme with a delay (0.5-24 hours). Not applicable to "Spin", "Refresh", and "Eco 40-60". Delay time must be longer than the programme run time.
- 3.5.2 "Extra Rinse" button: Provides additional rinses with fresh water for sensitive skin. Select 1 to 3 additional cycles.
- 3.5.3 "Temp." button: Changes the washing temperature.
- 3.5.4 "Speed" button: Changes or deselects the spin speed.
- 3.5.5 "Dry Level" button: Selects drying level: Pic-1 (store after drying), Pic-2 (wear after drying), Pic-3 (iron after drying).
- 3.5.6 "i-Refresh" button: Used for odor removal, dust removal, mite removal, and moisture removal. Follow specific tips for i-Refresh care.
- 3.5.7 "Stain removal" button: Selects special features for different stains (Grass, Wine, Blood, Soil, Juice, Milk).
3.6 "Start/Pause" button
Starts or interrupts the programme. The LED above the button lights up or blinks.
3.7 Child lock
Press "Speed" and "Start/Pause" simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate. The child lock indicator lights up when active. Display shows "clot" when a button is pressed with child lock active.
4. Programmes
The table details various programmes, their maximum load capacity (washing/drying in kg), temperature range, preset options (1, 2, 3), fabric types, spin speed (rpm), and available functions (Dry Level, i-Refresh, Extra Rinse, Stain removal, Delay).
- Programme examples: Cotton, Synthetic or mixed fabrics, Duvet, Wool/delicate fabric, Delicate laundry and Silk, Cotton/Synthetic, Lightly soiled mixed laundry, L15', All fabrics, Cotton (20°C), Eco 40-60.
- Notes: * Water is not heated up. Choose 90°C for special hygienic requirements. Reduce detergent for short programmes. Do not use chemical reaction with detergent. Do not add sanitizer, detergent, or softener to i-Refresh programme.
5. Consumption
This section provides a table detailing the indicated consumption values (energy, water, time) for different programmes (Eco 40-60, Synthetic) and load capacities. It also includes notes on standard programme settings for energy labelling and auto weight detection.
- Auto Weight: The appliance detects load size and adjusts energy, water, and washing time automatically. The display shows "AUŁO".
6. Daily Use
6.1 Power supply
Connect to a 220V-240V~/50Hz power supply. Refer to INSTALLATION section.
6.2 Water connection
Check water inlet for cleanliness. Turn on the tap. Ensure tightness of connections.
6.3 Preparing laundry
Sort clothes by fabric type and dirt level. Separate whites from colours. Empty pockets and remove decorative objects. Use a wash bag for delicates, items without firm hem, underwear, and small items. Close zippers, velcro, and hooks. Unfold large items. Turn jeans and printed items inside out.
Special hints for drying: Sort by fabric, desired dry level, and residual moisture. Spin with maximum speed before drying. Do not exceed 6 kg load. Loosen large pieces. Do not dry delicate fabrics that may shrink or lose shape. Avoid overdrying jersey and knitwear.
Care chart
Provides guidance on washing (temperatures, processes), bleaching (allowed, oxygen/non-chlorine, do not bleach), drying (tumble dry normal/low temp, do not tumble dry, line drying, flat drying), ironing (max temp, medial temp, low temp), and professional textile care (dry cleaning, wet clean).
6.4 Loading the appliance
Load laundry piece by piece. Do not overload. Keep six inches between load and drum top. Close the door carefully, ensuring no laundry is pinched.
CAUTION! Non-textile, small, loose, or sharp-edged items can cause malfunctions and damage.
6.5 Selecting detergent
Use machine wash approved detergents. Use specific detergents for synthetics and wool. Follow manufacturer recommendations. Do not use dry cleaning agents. The table shows recommended detergent types (Universal, Colour, Delicate, Special, Softener) for each programme.
- Recommendations: Laundry powder: 20°C to 90°C (best 40-60°C). Color detergent: 20°C to 60°C (best 30-60°C). Wool/delicate detergent: 20°C to 30°C.
6.6 Adding detergent
Slide out the drawer, add chemicals to corresponding compartments, and push back gently. Remove residues. Do not overuse. Follow detergent package instructions. Dilute concentrated liquid detergent. Do not use liquid detergent with "Delay" selected.
6.7 Switch on the appliance
Touch the "Power" button. The "Start/Pause" LED flashes.
6.8 Select a programme
Turn the programme knob to select the appropriate programme. Related LED lights up.
Note: Odour removal: Before first use, run "COTTON+90°C" with no load and a small amount of detergent or a special machine cleaner.
6.9 Add individual selections
Select required options and settings using the control panel buttons.
6.10 Start wash programme
Touch the "Start/Pause" button to start. The LED lights up continuously.
6.11 Interrupt / cancel wash programme
Press "Start/Pause" to interrupt (LED flashes). Press again to resume. To cancel, interrupt, then switch off using the "Power" button for 2 seconds. Then switch on, select "Spin" with no speed to drain, then select a new programme.
6.12 After washing
- Note: Door lock: Door is locked during the cycle and unlocks automatically at the end or after cancellation. It cannot be opened if there is high water level, high temperature, or during spinning (display shows "Lock").
- Steps after washing: "End" is displayed. Appliance switches off automatically. Remove laundry promptly to prevent wrinkling. Turn off water supply. Unplug the power cord. Open the door to prevent moisture and odours.
- Note: Standby mode / energy-saving mode: Appliance enters standby if inactive for 2 minutes. Push "Power" to exit.
- Note: Cool down cycle for drying cycle: The last part of the drying cycle is without heat to prevent garment damage.
6.13 Activate or deactivate the buzzer
Switch on, select "MIX" programme. Touch "Delay" and "Temp." buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. "bEEP OFF" deactivates the buzzer; "bEEP On" activates it.
7. Eco-friendly use
Environmentally responsible use:
- Washing: Use recommended maximum load. Do not overload. Use "Express 15'" for slightly soiled laundry. Apply exact detergent dosages. Use lowest adequate washing temperature (modern detergents clean below 60°C). Raise default settings only for heavy staining. Spin with maximum speed before drying.
- Drying: Use maximum filling amount (5/6/8 kg). Loosen laundry before drying. Do not use softener when washing, as it makes laundry fluffy and soft for the dryer.
8. Care and cleaning
8.1 Cleaning the detergent drawer
Regularly clean the drawer, ensuring no detergent residues remain. Pull out, press release button, remove, flush with water, and reinsert.
8.2 Cleaning the machine
Unplug during cleaning. Use a soft cloth with soap liquid for the machine case and rubber components. Do not use organic chemicals or corrosive solvents.
8.3 Water inlet valve and inlet valve filter
Clean regularly to prevent blockage. Unplug, turn off water supply, unscrew inlet hose, flush filters with water and a brush, then reinsert.
8.4 Cleaning the drum
Remove metal parts (pins, coins) to prevent rust stains and damage. Use non-chloride cleaner for rust stains. Do not use hard objects or steel wool.
8.5 Long periods of disuse
Pull out the plug, turn off water supply, and open the door to prevent moisture/odours. Before next use, check power cord, water inlet, and drain hose.
8.6 Pump filter
Clean the filter monthly or if the appliance doesn't drain, doesn't spin, or makes unusual noise. WARNING: Water in the pump filter can be hot. Turn off and unplug the machine. Open service flap, provide a container for water, pull out drain hose, remove sealing plug, close drain hose, unscrew pump filter, and remove contaminants.
CAUTION! Ensure pump filter sealing is clean and unhurt. Tighten lid fully to prevent leakage. Filter must be in place.
9. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions for common problems. Before contacting customer service, check all possibilities.
WARNING! Deactivate and unplug the appliance before maintenance. Electrical equipment should be serviced by qualified experts. Damaged power cables must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified personnel.
9.1 Information codes
Codes displayed for information only:
- 01:25: Remaining wash cycle time: 1 hour 25 minutes.
- 06:30: Remaining wash cycle time with delay: 6 hours 30 minutes.
- AUŁO: Automatic load detection working.
- End: Washing cycle finished, appliance shuts off automatically.
- clock-: Child lock activated.
- Lock-: Door closed due to high water level, temperature, or spinning.
- bEEP OFF: Buzzer deactivated.
- bEEP On: Buzzer activated.
9.2 Troubleshooting with display code

Note: Foam formation: If excessive foam is detected, the motor stops, and the drain pump activates for 90 seconds. If foam elimination fails, the programme ends without spinning.
10. Installation
10.1 Preparation
Remove all packaging materials, including polystyrene. Keep out of children's reach. Water drops may be present due to factory testing.
Note: Packaging disposal: Dispose of packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner.
10.2 OPTIONAL: Install noise reduction pads
If included, attach the noise reduction pads to the bottom of the machine as shown in the diagram.
10.3 Dismantle the transportation bolts
Remove all transportation bolts and reinforcements (T1-T4, R1-R10, S1-S2) and iron bars (I1, I2) from the rear of the appliance before use.
Note: Keep in safe place: Store transportation bolts for future use when moving the appliance.
10.4 Moving the appliance
If moving the machine, replace the transportation bolts to prevent damage.
10.5 Aligning the appliance
Adjust all feet to achieve a level position, minimizing vibrations and noise. Use a spirit level. Ensure the floor is stable and flat.
- Loosen the locknut.
- Adjust the height by turning the foot.
- Tighten the locknut.
10.6 Drain Water Connection
Fix the drain hose properly. Height should be between 80-100 cm. Keep the hose fixed to the clip at the appliance back.
WARNING! Use only supplied hose set. Never reuse old hoses. Connect only to cold water supply. Check water clarity.
- 10.6.1 Drain hose to sink: Hang hose with U-support over sink edge. Ensure U-support is secure.
- 10.6.2 Drain hose to waste water connection: Internal diameter of stand pipe must be ≥ 40 mm. Insert hose 80-100 mm into wastewater pipe. Attach U-support securely.
- 10.6.3 Drain hose to sink connection: Junction must be above siphon. Remove any plug (A) from spigot connection. Secure hose with a clamp.
CAUTION! Drain hose should not be submerged. Ensure it is fixed and leak-free. If hose is on the ground or pipe is < 80 cm, machine will drain continuously. Do not extend hose; contact service if needed.
10.7 Fresh Water Connection
Ensure gaskets are inserted. Connect the angled end of the water inlet hose to the appliance hand-tight. Connect the other end to a 3/4" water tap.
10.8 Electrical Connection
Check power supply, socket, and fusing are appropriate. Ensure socket is earthed and no multi-plugs/extensions are used. UK plug must meet BS1363A standard. Plug into the socket.
WARNING! Ensure all connections (power, drain, water hose) are firm, dry, and leak-free. Do not crush, kink, or twist cords. Damaged cords must be replaced by a service agent.

Provides a table with technical data for Haier models HWD80-B14979, HWD100-B14979, and HWD120-B14979, including energy efficiency class, energy consumption, washing performance class, water remaining after spin, maximum spin speed, washing capacity, drying capacity, water consumption, washing/drying time, estimated annual consumption, and noise levels.
- Notes: Class G is least efficient, Class A is most efficient. European standard test procedure details are provided for washing and drying. Actual energy consumption depends on usage.
