7. Component Names

Key components identified include:

  • Yoke
  • Knob
  • Accessory retainer
  • Yoke locking knob
  • Slicing
  • Lens tube

8. Lens Tube

Installation of the lens tube involves:

  1. Sliding the lens into the shutter barrel.
  2. Tightening the lens focus screw.

9. Install Fixture

The fixture can be used in a general position or a low clearance position, as depicted in diagrams.

10. Mounting and Installation

Cautions:

  • Mount fixtures in areas away from walking paths and unauthorized access for added protection.
  • Ensure the installation area can support a minimum point load of 10 times the device's weight.
  • Always secure fixtures with a secondary safety attachment, such as an appropriate safety cable.
  • Never stand directly below the device during mounting, removal, or servicing to avoid injury.

Mounting Points:

Overhead mounting requires extensive experience, including load limit calculations, knowledge of installation materials, and periodic safety inspections. If unqualified, do not attempt installation yourself, as improper installation can cause bodily injury.

Complete all rigging and installation procedures before connecting the main power cord.

Electrical Connections: Must be performed by a qualified electrician.

Mounting Positions:

The fixture is operational in any mounting position: hanging upside-down, side-mounted, or set on a flat level surface.

  • Keep the fixture at least 0.5m (approx. 1.6 feet) away from flammable materials (e.g., decorations).
  • When clamp mounting, always use and install the supplied safety cable as an added safety measure against clamp failure.

11. Power Supply and Signal Connection

Power Supply:

  • Use the professional plug to connect the fixture to the main power supply.
  • Ensure voltage and frequency match the projector's specifications.
  • It is suggested that each light has a separately switched power supply for independent control.

Signal Connection (DMX512):

  • Use the provided 3/5-pin XLR plugs and sockets to connect fixtures in a daisy-chain (output of one to input of the next).
  • For extended communication cables, ensure the wiring is one-to-one (pin 1 to 1, pin 2 to 2, pin 3 to 3, etc.). Incorrect wiring will interrupt communication.
  • The communication cable should be a 2-cord screened cable with 75 Ohm resistance and a minimum conductor diameter of 0.5mm. Ensure XLR plug internal wires do not touch each other or the plinth.
  • DMX Signal Terminator: Recommended for installations to prevent electronic noise damage to the digital control signal. This is an XLR connector with a 120Ω 1/2W resistor connected between pins 2 and 3, plugged into the last fixture's output socket.

Signal Pinouts:

  • DMX 512 3 PIN: Pin 1 (Screen), Pins 2, 3 (Signal)
  • DMX512 5 PIN: Pin 1 (Screen), Pins 2, 3, 4, 5 (Signal)

14. Circuit Connecting Diagram

The diagram illustrates the internal connections between the power supply, display board, LED drive board, and radiation board using connectors like J1, J2, J3, J4, J5, J7.

It shows connections for AC input (L, N, PE), 48V, 12V, and GND.

15. Troubleshooting

LCD Off:

  1. Check if the correct voltage is installed.
  2. Verify if the LEDs have reached their end of life; replace with identical LEDs if necessary.
  3. Ensure the power supply is adequate.
  4. Confirm the DMX 512 controller is sending an "turn on" command.

Light On, but No Control Order Accepted:

  1. Check the start code address and function options for correctness.
  2. Verify the communication control cable connection is good, not too long, or interrupted.
  3. Ensure the control system is valid and signal amplifiers in the chain are functional.
  4. Check if the communication cable is too long or interfering with other equipment.
  5. Organize wiring properly, shorten signal cables, and separate high-voltage and low-voltage cables.
  6. Consider adding a signal amplifier isolator.
  7. Use an excellent screened double-core cable with 75 OHM resistance.
  8. Ensure proper termination at the end of the light chain.

Light Can't Move:

Note: This section may be less relevant for static profile lights but is included as per the document.

  1. Check if the power supply voltage matches the light's data.
  2. Inspect the light for deformation, internal part damage, or moisture ingress, which can cause loose contacts.

16. Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Keep the fixture clean for normal operation. Regularly clean the lens to maintain optimum light output. Do not use solvents on the lens, as they can damage the projector.
  • Usage Suggestion: Continuous usage should not exceed 4 hours to prolong lamp life. Alternative operation methods can be used to mitigate this. Avoid powering the fixture on for more than 48 hours continuously, as this may trigger a lamp protection procedure.
  • Disconnect power before maintenance. Allow parts to cool for at least 10 minutes before handling.
  • Periodically inspect the lens and other moving parts, keeping them clean and static. Replace damaged or loose parts immediately to prevent accidents.

CAUTION: Disconnect from mains before starting any maintenance operation.

17. Duty Exonerative and Copyright Protection

  • Products broken due to failure to follow instructions are not covered by warranty for repair.
